Part 1, which was ba

9、sed on ISO 2816 and ISO 3844, published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), dealt with the fundamentals of Mondopoint, a universal sizing system for boots and shoes. Part2, which was based on DIS 3355 (subsequently ISO 3355), published by the International Organization for S

Due to technical and other problems, adoption of the Mondopoint system, in place of a variety of other sizing systems in use in different countries, has proceeded slowly. Accordingly, to facilitate implementation of the Mon

11、dopoint system, ISO Technical Committee TC 137 at its meeting in Gottwaldov, Czechoslovakia in March 1980, adopted the following Resolutions: “Resolution 28 (range of widths). The delegates present agree that, in the width grading system, for each length, each width may be any whole number of millim

The national standards organizations may specify in their standards tables of widths corresponding to their requirements.” “Resolution 30. The delegate

13、s present agree that the Mondopoint system, as far as concerns the length defined in ISO 2816 (paragraph 2.2) and ISO 3844, may be introduced into use, for a transitional period, by converting the existing shoe sizes into corresponding lengths (expressed in millimetres) of the average normal foot fi

In combining the two parts the specification has been simplified by making optional the width prov
