8、 features of magnetic sound recording on perforated film” which is now wholly withdrawn. The other parts of BS2981 are, or are being, revised as Subsections of BS5550, which is to encompass eventually all British Standards on cinematography. 13、to in this standard is listed on the inside back cover. 3 Film stock The film stock to be coated shall conform to the dimensions for35mm ISO type P perforated film given in BS5550-3.1.1 1) . NOTE17.5mm coated film is obtained by slitting in half the film described in clause4 and figures(a) or(b) in
14、Table 1. 4 Magnetic coating The magnetic coating thickness shall be uniform and shall be not more than0.02mm. The dimensions of the coating shall be as stated in Table 1 and shall be one of the types shown in figuresa),b) andc), as follows: a) coated over the full width of the film stock; b) coated
15、over the width between the perforations; c) coated with a sound record stripe and a balance stripe. 5 Balance stripes All balance stripes shall be of the same composition and thickness as the sound record coating.
