11、Terminology and conventions. The text of the International Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as a British Standard without deviation. Some terminology and conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards. IEC 268-11, referred to in clause11, was published in198

12、1. BS5428-5.2:1981 implements the previous edition of IEC268-11:1981 which was published in1973 as IEC268-14A. A revision of BS5428-5.2 implementing IEC268-11:1981 together with its amendments, which are now in preparation, will be published when these amendments have been published. A British Stand

17、 To lay down the minimum requirements for microphones falling within the scope of this part. 3 Measuring conditions All measurements shall be made in accordance with the general measuring conditions stated in IECPublication581-1, Part1: General, and with the conditions of measurement given in Sectio

Minimum requirements for characteristics directly related to the reproducing quality 4 Frequency response Introduction The frequency response requirement is defined in two stages: a type freq

19、uency response is specified and then the permissible deviations of the response of an individual microphone from that type frequency response. This is because the type frequency response may not be intended to be flat, for example a so-called soloists microphone. Clause or sub-clause Characteristic

22、apply for frequencies outside the minimum requirement 4.3 Frequency response of an individual microphone The frequency response curve of any individual microphone shall correspond to the type frequency response curve within the following tolerances: 50 Hz250 Hz 3 dB 250 Hz8 000 Hz 2.5 dB 8000 Hz1250

23、0 Hz 3 dB Over the frequency range250 Hz-8000Hz, the slope of the curve shall not exceed6dB/octave, and for lower and higher frequencies up to the limit frequencies specified for the frequency range it shall not exceed9dB/octave NOTE 1Peaks and troughs in the frequency response curve not exceeding a

24、 frequency range corresponding to1/8 octave shall be neglected with respect to the requirements for maximum admissible slope. 28、4 dB between1000Hz and5000Hz 8 dB between5000Hz and8000Hz Directional microphone The off-axis frequency response between250Hz and8000Hz shall not deviate by more than 4dB from the axial response, a transfer to equalize the values obtained at1000Hz being carried out previously Where the response at a
