8、rection of the Documentation Standards Committee. The use of a heading coating (colour stripe) for microfiche headings, particularly for duplicates, has developed in recent years and is now widespread. This British Standard is published to minimize the proliferation of sizes and thus to simplify the
9、 requirements for both manufacturer and user. In the production of microfiche the general practice is to apply the heading coating to the film while it is in roll form. Film in roll form is also often used in duplicators. The requirements therefore apply to roll film from which microfiche will be ma

Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application. Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations
