The dimensions for chain wheel tooth forming tools were originally included in the1962 edition of BS228 but omitted from the1970 and1984 editions, the latter being identical with ISO606:1982. In response to frequent reques
8、ts this standard rectifies the omission. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. 10、ont cover.BS6710:1987 BSI 11-1999 1 1 Scope This British Standard specifies dimensions for rotary tooth form cutters and chainwheel generating tools(hobs, rack cutters and pinion type cutters) used for the manufacture of transmission roller chainwheels complying with BS228. The profiles are given fo
11、r the rotary tooth form cutter in the roller diameter range5mm to95.25mm, and for other chainwheel generating tools the rack form is given in the pitch range8mm to152.4mm.
