Method of test The flame is applied to the sample in a manner most likely t
47、o cause combustion, i.e.the capacitor is held in the flame at an angle of45 with the flame applied to the lower edge. The flame is applied for15s and then removed. Any self-sustained flame shall extinguish within15s after removal from the flame. The flame shall then be immediately re-applied for a f
48、urther15s. The time to extinguish shall be noted and it shall be less than, or equal to,30s. Appendix B Gauge Appendix C Temperature coefficient and cyclic drift The capacitor shall be maintained at each of the following temperatures in turn: Thermal shocks shall be avoided. Capacitance measurements
49、 shall be made as specified in1.2.4.3 of BS9070:Section 1:1969 at each of the temperatures specified above after the capacitor has reached thermal stability. The condition of thermal stability shall be judged to have been reached when two readings of capacitance taken at an interval of at least15min do not differ by an amount greater than that which can be attributed to the measuring apparatus, or such greater time that is known to be required for capacitance stability.
