Applicationswherethedischargedwastewatercontainssolidsthatarequicktopurify(e.g.thefishindustry)donot requireasludgetrap,butthegreaseseparatorshallbefittedwithast
29、rainerorscreeningdevicefittedontheinlet sidetoretaincoarsesolids.Anyretainedsolidsshouldberemovedandtheseparatorthoroughlyflushedwithclean waterbeforeoperationalintervalstopreventputrefaction.EN18252:2002(E) 5 5 Nominalsize Forthepreferrednominalsizes(NS)seeclause4ofprEN18251:2000. Multipleseparator
30、softhesamenominalsizemaybeconnectedinparallelwiththeflowsplitequallybetweeneach separator. 6 Selectionofthenominalsize 6.1General Theselectionofthenominalsizesshallbebasedonthenatureandquantityofwastewatertobetreatedtakinginto account: maximumflowrateofwastewater; maximumtemperatureofthewastewater;
31、densityofgrease/oilstobeseparated; influenceofcleansingandrinsingagents. Ifagreasestoragecapacitygreaterthan40NSinlitresisrequired,e.g.whenmorethantheusualamountof greaseisexpected,thefollowingoptionsmaybeused: 1) usingalargernominalsizeseparatorthancalculatedor 2) creatinggreasestoragecapacityoutsi
32、detheseparatoror 3) emptyingtheseparatormorefrequentlythanusually. 42、tainingfaeces(“black“water); rainwater; wastewatercontaininglightliquids,e.g.greaseoroilofmineralorigin. 7.2 Placeofinstallation Greaseseparatorsshouldbeinstalledclosetothesourcesofwastewaterbutshouldnotbesitedinunventilated rooms,roads,carparksorstorageareas.Topreventodourandflynuisance,separatorss
43、houldnotbesitedclose tohabitablebuildings,especiallytoopeningwindowsandairintakes.Theyshallbeeasilyaccessibletocleaning vehicles.Specificoperationalandstructuralconditionsmayrequiretheseparatortoberemotelylocatedfromthe sourceofwastewater. Separatorsshouldbeinstalledinsuchawaytopreventfrostdamage,andallowallpartsrequiringregular maintenancetobeeasilyaccessibleatalltimes. Wherenecessary,manholecoversonseparatorsshallbesupportedsothattheloadimposedontheseparator doesnotexceeditsdesignstrength. 7.3 Drainagetoandfromtheseparator Wherenospecificlocalregulationsexist,g
