8、N633 was produced as a result of international discussions in which the UK took an active part. This standard has no equivalent in BS5669-4:1989 although the definition of cement-bonded particleboard is technically equivalent to2.2 of that standard. This standard together with a number of other ENs
9、will form a comprehensive series of standards in the field of wood-based panels. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Particleboards manufactured with or
20、ganic binders, or particleboard manufactured with a gypsum binder are not included. NOTEParticleboards manufactured with organic binders are defined and classified in EN309:1992 Particleboards Definition and classification. 2 Definition 2.1 cement-bonded particleboard sheet material manufactured und
21、er pressure, based on wood or other vegetable particles bound with hydraulic cement and possibly containing additives 3 Classification Cement-bonded particleboards can be classified according to different criteria, and there may be criteria other than those listed here. However, the most common clas
22、sifications of cement-bonded particleboards are as follows. 3.1 According to the binder bonded with ordinary Portland cement (OPC); bonded with magnesium based cements (e.g.magnesite). 3.2 According to the state of the surfaces as pressed plain or patterned; sanded; coated liquid or powder; surface
23、with sheet material (e.g.decorative laminated plastics sheet, impregnated decorative paper, metal sheet, foil). 3.3 According to coloration integrally coloured; no added coloration. 3.4 According to the shape with flat surfaces and square edges; with profiled surface; with profiled edges.4 blankBSEN
