30、eendrilledfromthefulldepth oftheslaborroadstructure(destructivemethod).Thesecondmethodelectromagnetic(nondestructive) measurementareused. 2Apparatus 2.1 Metalruleortape. 2.2 Callipergauge. 2.3 Approvedjigorotherdevice. 2.4 Electromagneticapparatusfornondestructivemeasurementsconsistingofaluminiumfoi

31、lthatisstuckon thebituminouslayeroraluminiumsheetmetalthatisfastenedontheunboundaggregatesofthesubgrade.The dimensionsoftheantipoleshallbe:width(30010) mm,length(70010) mmandthickness0,05 mmto 0,30mm.Thequalityoftheantipoleshallbethesameallthetime. NOTE Noothermetalobjectmaybepresentwithin1 mdistanc

32、eoftheantipole,becausethiscaninfluencethe measurement. 3 Testspecimens Coresusedasspecimensforthicknessmeasurementsshallberepresentativeofthebituminouspavementslab fromwhichtheyaretaken.Thecoresshallbedrilledcompletelythroughthebituminouspavementslabforwhich thethicknessistobemeasured.Thecoreaxissha

33、llpreferablybewithin5ofthenormalaxistothepavement. Furthermoretheendsshallbefreefromallconditionsnottypicalofthesurfacesofthepaving.Coresthatshow defectswhichinfluencethemeasurementsorthathavebeendamagedappreciablyinthedrillingoperation(e.g. fragmentedcores,splitcoresandcurvedcores),shallnotbeused.

34、NOTE Therecommendeddiameterofthecorestakenis100mmor150mm. 4Procedure 4.1Destructive measurement 4.1.1 Thethicknessofeachcoreoreachlayershallbemeasuredtothenearest1mm.Thethicknessmeasure mentsshallbeperpendiculartotheupperplaneofthecore.Measurementsshallbebetweenupperandlower surfacesorbetweenwelldef

35、inedboundarylinesincaseswherethecoreconsistsofmorethanonelayer. 4.1.2 Fourmeasurementsshallbetakenevenlyspacedaboutthediameterofeachcore.Thepositionofthese measurementsshallbeclearlymarkedalongeachcore. 4.1.3 Whenthecoreconsistsofonelayerorwhenonlythetotalthicknessofthebituminouspavementis relevant,

36、recordtheaverageofthefourmeasurementsasthepavementthickness. 4.1.4 Whenthecoreconsistsofmorethanonelayerandalsothethicknessoftheindividuallayersisrelevant, thenateachofthefourpointsalineshallbedrawntothebottomsurfaceofthecore,perpendiculartotheupper surface.Theboundarylinesofthelayersshallthenbemark
