27、ndows,doorsandshuttersare giveninEN131231. 5 Apparatus 5.1 Pressuregeneratingdevice Shocktubeorsimilardevicecapableofreproducingtheeffectsofaplaneshockwavefromahigh explosive. 5.2 Testspecimensupport Thetestspecimensupportshallbearigidframeorconstructionthroughwhichthetestspecimenmay besecurelyattac
28、hedtotheshocktube.Itshall: (a)besufficientlystrongtoresisttheblastforceswithoutdeformationandwithoutimparting deformationstothetestspecimen. (b)allowthetestspecimentobefixedinamannerrepresentativeofitsasbuiltconditionwithout imposingabnormalstresses. (c) preventpassageofblastpressureotherthanthrough
29、deformationorbydesignintentionofthetest specimen. (d)acceptmountingofpressuregaugesnexttotheattackface. Dimensioneddrawingsofstandardsupportsshallbepreparedbythetestingauthorityandmade availabletopotentialapplicants.Theseshallshowclearlythelocationsanddimensionsofopenings andallsuitablefixingpoints,
30、brackets,holesandbolts. Allandanyadditionalorpurposemadeframes,fixingpoints,methodsorsupportsandtheirdesigns shallbeagreedbetweentheapplicantandthetestingauthoritypriortoatestasbeingsuitableforthe purpose. 5.3 Equipmentformeasuring Equipmentshallcomprise: (a)Thermometerssuitableformeasuringtheambien
31、tairtemperatureandthetemperatureoftherear faceofthetestspecimentakingintoaccountvariationsduetoshade,sunlightorotherweather conditionstoanaccuracyof1C.Measurementstobetakenwithin30minofthetest. (b)Abarometersuitableformeasuringtheambientairpressureoutsidetheshocktubetoan accuracyof2mbar. (c) Gaugesi
32、nstrumentationsystemsformeasuringandrecordingthepressuretimehistoryofthe blastpulse.Thesecanbe:gaugesincorporatingpiezoelectric/piezoresistiveorequivalent pressuretransducerscapableofrespondingtovariationsinpressureswithin0,1msandrecording pressurestoanaccuracyof5%ofthepeakpressurethroughouttherange
33、ofpressuresand durationstobeexperienced.Page7 EN131241:2001 6 Testspecimen Thetestspecimenshallberepresentativeoftherelevantwindow,doororshutter(seeclause11). Theapplicantshallsupplydrawingsshowingdimensionsandallotherdetailsofthetestspecimento scaletogetherwithdescriptionandcompositionofallmaterial
34、sincludinginfills,fixingsetc. Thetestspecimensizeandmethodoffixingtothetestspecimensupportshallbeagreedbetweenthe testingauthorityandtheapplicant.Theattackfaceshallbeclearlymarked. Afterthetest,attherequestoftheapplicant,thetestingauthorityshallreturnthetestspecimen, adequatelyandindeliblymarkedforr
35、etention. 7 Procedure 7.1Installation Installthetestspecimeninthetestspecimensupport,ensuringthat: (a)Thealignment/relationshipbetweenallcomponentsiscorrect. (b)Thefixingsdonotcreateabnormalstressesinthetestspecimen. (c) Noopeningexistsbetween/aroundthetestspecimenandthetestspecimensupport. (d)Theha
36、rdware,mechanisms,movablesashesanddoorleavesareoperable. (e)Themethodoffixingandtype/quantityoffixingsusedareidenticalinallrespectstotheintended application. (f) Pressuregaugesareinstalledinsuitablyshaped,robustmountingsdesignedtominimisevibration effects.Aminimumoftwogaugesshallbeusedtorecordthebla
37、stpressuresexperiencedbythe attackfaceofthetestspecimen.Inthenormallocationforthetestspecimen,acrosstheendof theshocktube,thesegaugesshallbepositionedtorecordthereflectedpressuretimehistoryand shallbemountedinthereflectedpressurezone.Recordsshallbetakentopermittheevaluationof thetestinaccordancewith

(g)Allmeasurementdevicesarecheckedsoastoverifytheircorrectcalibration. 7.2 TestExplosionpressureresistance(EPR) Thetestshallreproducetheeffectsofablastwavefrontstrikingattheattackfaceofthespecimen withpressuregeneratedwithinashocktubefacilityorsimilarprocess. Measurementofthepositivemaximum
