38、asuredbythe testedanemometerdividedbytheactualstandarddeviationofthevelocitycalculatedormeasuredbya referenceinstrumentunderidenticalflowconditions,canbeused.Thestandarddeviationratiocanbehigher orlowerthan1dependingontheelectricaldesignofthetestedanemometer.Theachievementofan accuracyof 10%impliesa
39、standarddeviationratioofbetween0,9and1,1(seeFigure3). 6.3Directionalsensitivity Theextremesofinstrumentdirectionalsensitivityaredescribedasfollows: Aunidirectionalprobehasasensorwhichhasastrongdirectionalsensitivityanddoesnotrespondtoflows inalldirections. Anomnidirectionalprobewillrespondtoflowfrom
40、virtuallyanydirection. Thedirectionalsensitivityisinvestigatedbymeasuringthevelocityasafunctionofangleofattackandthe investigationiscarriedoutasdescribedbelow. Therollcharacteristicsareobtainedbyrotationoftheprobeaboutthestemaxis(seeFigure4). Theyawcharacteristicsareobtainedbytiltingthestemaxisoftheprobeaboutitscentre(seeFigure5). Boththerollandyawcharacteristicsoftheprobesshallbespecified.
