Themethodsandrequirementsaimatevaluatingtheslurrytankersandthespreadingdevicesregardingtheusers ability,whenheusesthemachineacc
18、ordingtothemanufacturerinstructionhandbook,to: controltheapplicationrate; attainanevendistributionoftheslurry; reducetheloadontheexternalenvironment,forexamplebynotunintentionallyspreadingslurryoutsidethe targetarea. Itspecifiesrequirementsforthetransverseandlongitudinalspreadingcharacteristicssuchasworkingwidths, characteristicapplicationrate,characteristicflowandthestretchwithinthetolerancezone. 29、coefficientofvariation( CV)is lowerthan20%andwiderthanthehalfofthethrowingwidthwhensimulatingunidirectionaldistributionand/or“to andfro“distribution. The CVshallbecalculatedaccordingto4.3.1.1andthethrowingwidthshallbelimitedtothetotalwidthofadjacent collectingcontainersasfarasthecontainerwhichisadja

Thetestshallbecompletedinaccordancewith4.2.1andtherequirementshallbefulfilledforthesettingsofflows definedin4.2.1.3withslurryselectedasspecifiedin4.1.2. 32、.thesizeofthecollectingcontainers),isdifferent forbandspreadingdevicesthanforbroadcastingspreadingdevices.Therefore,itwouldbeinappropriatetousethe CVfor describingtheevennessofspreadingforbandspreadingdevicestoo,sincethatcanleadtomisleadingcomparisonsofthe evennessofspreadinge.g.betweendifferentband
33、spreadingdevices. Thetestedunitshall,foraspecificsetting,haveanaveragedeviationwhichislowerthan15%. Theaveragedeviationshallbecalculatedaccordingto4.3.1.2. Thetestshallbecompletedinaccordancewith4.2.1andtherequirementshallbefulfilledforthesettingofflows definedin4.2.1.3. Iftherequirementisnotmetforo

35、pplicationrate Atestshallbemadetocheckthatitispossibletoobtainthelowestcharacteristicapplicationratespecifiedbythe manufacturer,whentheforwardspeedusedislowerthan8km/h.Thischaracteristicapplicationrateshallbe statedinthetestreport. Thetestshallbemadeinaccordancewith4.2.2andthecalculationofthecharact
36、eristicapplicationrateshallbe madeinaccordancewith4.3.2. 3.3.2 Stretchwithinthetolerancezone Thestretchwithinthetolerancezonedeterminedataspecificsettingshallexceed90%oftheunloadingtime. Thetestshallbemadeinaccordancewith4.2.2andthecalculationofthestretchwithinthetolerancezoneshallbe completedaccord
37、ingto4.3.3. Therequirementshallbefulfilledforsettingsdefinedin4.2.1.3. 38、hetolerancezoneforthisadditionaltestshallthenbelongerthan90%ofthe unloadingtime. 4Verification 4.1Test conditions 4.1.1 Slurrytankerandspreadingdevice Theunittobetestedshallbeusedinaccordancewiththeinstructionsgivenintheinstructionhandbook.Ifaslurry tankerisequippedwithanagitationdevice,thisdevicesh
39、alloperatetoavoidseparationoftheslurry.Ifthe instructionslimittheuseoftheunit,inrelationto4.1.2,thisshallbenotedinthetestreport. Whenonlythespreadingdeviceistested,itcaneitherbemountedonatankerormountedinanyotherwaythat allowsslurrytobesuppliedfromaseparatepump(similartoanumbilicalsystem).Inallcases
40、themountingshall allowmeasurementsofpressuresandcorrespondingflows. Whenonlythetanker(withoutspreadingdevice)istested,thetankershallbeconnectedtoequipmentthatallows pressure/flowmeasurementstobeperformedatdifferentbackpressuresofthespreadingdevices(forexample throughavariablevalve).EN13406:2002(E) 8
41、 Ifacompletemachineistested,nopressuremeasurementattheconnectionpointisnecessary. Allpressuremeasurementsshallbemadeattheconnectionpointfortheattachmentofthespreadertothetanker (seeprincipleinFigure1).Theinclinationofthefeedingpipeattheconnectionpointshallbeinaccordancewith theinformationgivenbythem
42、anufacturerandshallberecordedinthetestreport. Theinnerdiameterofthepipeattheconnectingpointanditsheightabovegroundshallbestatedinthetestreport togetherwithaschematicdrawingoftheconnectingpoint. Thelevelofliquidinthetankeratthebeginningandattheendofthetestshallbestatedinrelationtothe connectingpoints
43、. 4.1.2Slurry TheslurryisclassifiedinoneclassasdescribedinannexA.Thephysicalpropertiesoftheslurryusedinthetests shallbedeterminedinaccordancewithannexAandshallbestatedinthetestreport. 4.1.3 Fillingofslurry Theslurryshallbeuniformlyagitatedbeforefillingtheslurrytanker.Thetestshallbestartedwithin15minafterthe fillingprocedurehasbeencompleted. 4.1.4 Testsiteandambientconditions Thetestsshallbecarriedoutonaneven,horizontalsurface,indoorsoroutdoors.
