Watercanbepresentinanumberofformssuchasfreewater,boundwaterandwaterofcrystallization.Itisoften importanttobeabletodistinguishbetweentheseforms

17、ofwater.Thegravimetricmethodsfordeterminationof waterstandardizedinEN12048andEN12049haveonlylimitedapplicability. TheKarlFischermethodisapplicabletoawiderangeoffertilizers.However,thereareseveralvariationstothe basictechnique,differentformulationsoftheKarlFischerreagentsarecommerciallyavailableandan
