Fortestingthestructuralbondingofconcrete,thespecimenconsistsofthreeconcretecubesbondedinlinewhich arethenexposedtoanenvironmentalregimepriortobeingsubjectedtoacompressiveshearforceappliedinthe planeofthebondline. Fortestingthestructuralbondingofsteel,twosteelplatesarebo

Ontwoofthecubes,thecastfa

37、cetobebondedshallbegritblastedinaccordancewiththerequirementsof EN1766.Immediatelypriortobondingthisgritblastedsurfaceshallbevacuumedtoremoveanydust. Thecomponentsoftheadhesiveshallbemixedandanevenlayerapproximately1mmthickappliedtothe preparedconcretesurfacesinaccordancewiththemanufacturersinstruct

38、ions.Placethetwocubesata separationof(102 0,2)mminthe100mm 100mm 302mmmould.Theconcreteshallbepouredintothe central100mm 100mm 100mmvolumeandcarefullycompactedbyhandinaccordancewithEN1766. Thecompleteassemblyshallbecuredforatleast28daysat(+21 2) C,(60 10)%relativehumidity. 6.3 Productionofsteeltoste

39、elcompositespecimens DegreaseonesideofeachsteelplateusingasuitabledegreasingagentandthengritblasttogradeSa2.5 accordingtoISO85011.Thegritblastedsurfaceshallthenbevacuumedtoremoveanydust.GluePVCtape(12,5 mmwide)ononeendoftheplatesothatthewedgecanbeinsertedthere(seeFigure2). Mixthecomponentsoftheadhes

40、iveandapplyanevenlayerapproximately0,5mmthicktoeachoftheprepared steelsurfacesinaccordancewiththemanufacturersinstructions.Bondthesteelplatestogetherinasuitablejig (forexample,seeFigure4)inordertoachieveagluelinethicknessof(0,65 0,05)mm. Allowtheadhesivetocureforatleastsevendaysat(+21 2) C,(60 10)%r

41、elativehumidity,beforeinserting thewedgeatarateof50mm/mintoitsfulldepthof25mminasuitablecompressiontestingmachine. 7 Testprocedures 7.1 Testingoftheconcretetoconcretespecimens Afterthespecimenshaveundergonetheappropriateenvironmentalregime,theyshallbeconditionedfor24hat (21 2) Cand(60 10)%relativehu

42、midity.ThetestandcontrolspecimensshallthenbetestedinshearasEN13733:2002(E) 7 showninFigures1a)and1b).Loadshallbeappliedatarateof(60 20)kN/min.TheloadatfailureinkNandthe positionoffailureshallbenotedineachcase. 7.2 Testingofsteeltosteelspecimens Immediatelypriortocommencementoftheenvironmentalregimet

43、hecracklengthshallbemeasuredonbothsides ofeachtestandcontrolspecimentoanaccuracyof 0,1mmusing,forexample,atravellingmicroscope.Thetest specimensshallbeplacedimmediatelyintotheenvironmentalchamberorcabinet,andmeasurementstakenafter 24h,andthenat24hintervalsuntilthecracklengthhasstabilised.Thereafter,measurementsshallbet
