Cutthewireafewdecimetreslongerthanthemarkedlength. Foldthewireinthemiddletakingcarenottomakeasharpkinkintheinsulationatthemidpoint. Stripapproximatelyt

37、hreecentimetresofinsulationfromeachendofthewireandtwistthetwobareendsofthe conductortogether. Windthefoldedwireintoaloosecylindricalspiralandplaceitinsidethebeakersothatthetwistedbareendsofthe conductorareatthetopofthebeaker. Attachthetwistedbareendstothetopofthebeakerwithadhesivetape,sothattheyprot

38、rudeoutofthebeaker. Placethecopperelectrodeinthebeakerandfillthebeakerwiththeconductivesolutionsothatthewholewire spiralissubmergeduptothe1mmarksontheinsulationofthewire,makingsurethatthetwistedbareendsare abovetheliquidsurface. Storethewireinthesolutionforaperiodofatleast24h,inthetemperaturecontrol
