26、eragecompositionofthematerial.Inthecase ofprepackagedproducts,themanufacturersrecommendationsforhandlingoftheindividualcomponentsshould befollowed. Thetestreportshallstatewhetherthesamplestakenarespotsamplesorcompositesamples(see3.6and3.7of EN1967:1989) Theminimumamountsofsamplematerialshouldbe5000g

Sampleswhicharelikelytochangeinairshallbeplacedinairtightcontainers,suchascans,immediatelyafterthey havebeentaken. Whereverpossiblespecimensshouldbepreparedimmediatelyafterobtainingthesample,i
28、fnecessaryonsite.The specimensshallbepreparedwithinthemanufacturersstatedworkingtime. Iftransportationoffreshsamplescannotbeavoided,theyshallbesuppliedimmediatelyfortesting,accompanied byawritteninstructionstatingwhichtestsshallbecarriedout,andprotectedfromchanges,suchaslossofwater, entryofwateretc.
29、asmayoccurduringtransportation.Specimensshallbepreparedimmediatelyonreceiptofthe sample,afterthesamplehasbeenmixedagainmanually. 4Mixing 4.1General Themixingshallbecarriedoutinstrictaccordancewiththemanufacturersinstructions,usingthewaterorliquid contentindicated.Ifarangeofvaluesisgivenforthewatero

34、emixer Themixingprocessinstructionsshallbefollowed,setoutbythemanufacturersdatasheetorontheproductlabel. ThesolidcontentofdrymortarmixshallbeaddedtothemixerasprescribedinTable2andsubsequently,the waterorliquidshallbeaddedoveraperiodof15secondswiththemixerrunning.Thentheprocessshallbe completedbymixi
