25、1Sampling 3.1.1General Forthechemicalanalysis,takearepresentativesampleofthefollowingminimumquantitiesfromthebatchtobe tested. 2000gfromanaqueoussolutionor 1000gfromsolidsalt. 3.1.2 Aqueoussolution Forsampling,thoroughlystirthewholequantityinthevessel.Ifsaltshavecrystallisedoutthroughstorageatlow te

26、mperatures,bringthemintosolutionagainbygentlewarmingandstirring.Ifthesolutionhasprecipitatedsalts,do nottakethesamplejustfromtheclearsolutionorfrompartsofthesolutionthatcontainsolidsalt. Ifthevesselhasbeenpartiallyemptiedbeforesamplingandcontainsprecipitatedsalt,itisnotpossibletoobtaina representati

28、e.Asmagnesiumchlorideattractsa considerableamountofmoisturefromtheair,sampling,sizereductionandmixingoftheindividualsamplesshall becarriedoutasrapidlyaspossible.Storethefinalsamplesintightlystopperedbottles. 3.2 Chemicalanalysis 3.2.1General Thissubclausedescribesreferencemethodsfordeterminingthereq

29、uirementsspecifiedEN140161.Ifothertest methodsareused,itshallbedemonstratedthattheresultsobtainedwiththemareequivalenttotheresultsofthe referencemethods.Incasesofdispute,thereferencemethodshallbeused. Onlyanalyticallypurereagentsshallbeused.Unlessotherwisestated,%meanspercentagebymass.Theterm “water

33、iontimeusingtheHerzbergtestsystem)intoa500mlvolumetricflask.Wash thefiltrationresiduewithhotwaterfreefromchloride(checkwithsilvernitratesolution).Thefiltrateisusedtode terminethecontentofthewatersolubleconstituentsandthepHvalue.Drythefilterpaperandthecontentsina redhotcrucibleofknownmassandreducetoa
