This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorseme

EN 14145:2003 (E) 4 1 Scope This standard specifies the types and dimensions of holders for lifeb
15、uoys in accordance with EN 14144. The holder is used as a support for the lifebuoy. 2 Normative references This European Standard incorporates by dated or undated reference, provisions from other publications. R 0,3 mm NOTE The rounding of the edges is i
18、ntended to prevent clothing from becoming caught. The holder shall conform to the dimensions specified in Figures 1, 2 and 3. The holder is not expected to conform to the design illustrated here. Figure 1 shows one of the three securing plates for holders, form A or B. Figure 2 shows form A with the

EN 14145:2003 (E) 6 4 Material The material used shall be either steel, hot-dip galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminium resistant to seawater.or plastic For the purposes of the designa
21、tion in clause 6, the following abbreviations shall be used: Al aluminium; Stst stainless steel; St steel. Hgal st hot-dip galvanized steel; Pl - plastic. 5 Surface protection The surfaces of the holder shall be plane where the lifebuoy is attached so that chafing cannot occur. 6 Designation An exam
