14、eneralitiesThe operating parametersof the detector shall be verified as specified by the manufacturer for the axes ofmovement shown in Annex D.The manufacturer shall clearly state in the product documentation any special limitation concerning installation e.g. a prohibited area between a surface on

15、the detector and the minimummake distance. 4.3.1.2 Removal/break distance The detector shall generate an intrusion signal or message at the removal distance specified by themanufacturer.This distance shall be specified for all normal operating axes. If the detector is designed for installation on fe

16、rromagnetic surfaces or in ferromagnetic material, the removal/break distance shallalso be specified for all normal operating axes when the detectoris mounted using the material asspecified in AnnexE. 4.3.1.3 Approach/make distanceThe detector shall generate a reverse signal or message at the minimu

17、m separation distance(s)specified by the manufacturer. This distance shall be specified for all normal operating axes. If thedetectoris designed for installation on ferromagnetic surfaces or in ferromagnetic material, theapproach/make distance shall be specified for all normal operating axes when th

18、e detector is mountedusing the material as specified in Annex E.BS EN 50131-2-6:2008BS EN 50131-2-6:2008EN 50131-2-6:2008 11 EN 50131-2-6:20084.3.2Indication of detectionWhen a detection indicator is provided to show when an intrusion signal or message is generated, thisindicator shall be capable of

19、 being enabled and disabled.The adjustment to enable or disable this indication locally within the detectorshall only be accessiblewhen the detector is opened by normal means. A detector at grade 3 or grade 4 shall be capable of receiving indication enable and disable commands from the CIE when such

20、 an indicator is present.4.4 Operationalrequirements4.4.1 Time interval between intrusion signals or messages Detectors using wired interconnections shall be able to provide an intrusion signal or message notmore than 15 s after the end of the preceding intrusion signal or message.Detectors using wi

21、re free interconnections shall be able to provide an intrusion signal or message afterthe end of the preceding intrusion signal or message within the following times: Grade 1300 s; Grade 2180 s; Grade 330 s; Grade 415 s.4.4.2 Switch on delayWhere a detector requires an internal or external power sup

22、plyin accordance with 4.6, the detectorshall meet all functional requirements within 180 sof the power supply reaching its nominal voltage.4.4.3Fault condition signalsA detector shall generate a fault signal or message in accordance with the manufacturersspecification and the provisions of Table 2 i

23、n the presence of a fault condition, according to Table 1, oras a result of an internal self-test if this feature is provided4.5 Tamper security4.5.1 Tamper security requirements All terminals and means ofmechanical and electronic adjustments shall be located within the detectors housings.The tamper

24、 security requirementsfor each grade of detector are shown in Table 1.4.5.2Prevention of unauthorised access to the inside of the detector through coversand existing holesAccess holes shall not allowinterference with the operation of the detector byprobing with commonly available tools.Damage must n

For grades2, 3 and 4detectors all covers giving access to components that could adversely affect th

26、e operation of thedetector shall be fitted with a tamper detection device that shall generate signals or messages in accordance with Table 2. It shall not be possible to gain such access without generating a tampersignal or message or causing visible damage. Sealed contacts do not require the means

27、to detectaccess to the inside of the detector.4.5.3Detection of removal from the mounting surfaceA detection device shall be fitted that generates a tamper signal or message in accordance withTable 2 if the detector is removed from the mounting surface. Operation of the tamper device shall notbe com

28、promised byexternal means. This device shall activate before access can be gained to it.4.5.4 Magnetic field interference When the detector is mounted in accordance with the manufacturers instructions and is subject to thepresence of an external magnetic field generated by the interference test magn

29、ets specified inAnnex A and applied to the faces of the detector according to Annex F, the detector shall either: a) be immune to any influence by the interference test magnets and continue to operate normallywith the make and break distances not exceeding twice those specified in accordance with 4.

30、3.1,orb) generate an intrusion, and/or tamper, and/or fault, and/or other independent signal or message inaccordance with Table 2when the make or break distances exceed twice those specified in accordance with 4.3.1. These signals or messages maybe generated either on application of theinterference

31、test magnet orwhen the corresponding magnet has returned to its originalinstalledposition.NOTE The signals or messages generated by a grade 4 detector are intended to be used by the Ib) the recommended mounting configuration, details ofsuitable fixing methods, prohibited areas,mounting location ands

32、iting requirements;c) a statement of the operational approach and removal distances on ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic mounting surfaces for all recommended configurations and operational axes;d) the effect of anyadjustable controls on the detectors performance; e) anydisallowed field adjustable

33、 control settings or combinations of these;f) the operating voltage range and/or nominal operating voltage and the maximum and quiescentdetector current consumption at this nominal voltage; g) the value ofsupply voltage below which afault signal isgenerated.6 Testing 6.1 GeneralitiesThe tests are in

34、tended to be primarily concerned with verifying the correct operation of the detectortothe specification provided by the manufacturer. All the test parameters specified shall carry a generaltolerance of 10 % unless otherwise stated. A list of tests appears as a general test matrix in Annex B.BS EN 5

35、0131-2-6:2008BS EN 50131-2-6:2008EN 50131-2-6:2008 15 EN 50131-2-6:20086.2 Generaltest conditions6.2.1Standard laboratory conditions for testingThe general atmospheric conditions in the measurement and tests laboratory shall be those specifiedin EN 60068-1:1994, 5.3.1, unless stated otherwise:Temper

36、ature 15 C to 35 CRelative humidity 25 % RH to 75 % RHAir pressure 86 kPa to 106 kPa6.2.2General detection testing environment and proceduresThe manufacturers documented instructions regarding mounting and operation shall be read andapplied to all tests.6.2.3 TestingproceduresThe intrusion and, wher

37、e appropriate, tamper, fault and any other signal or message outputs shall bemonitored. Where appropriate, the detector shall be connected to the nominal supplyvoltage, and allowed tostabilise for 180 s.6.3 Basic test of detection capabilityThe general test conditions of 6.2 apply.Monitor the output

38、 of the detector with its corresponding magnet within the make distance. Move thecorresponding magnet to a position beyond the break distance. Record the status of the intrusionsignal or message during the test.Pass/Fail criteria: An intrusion signal or message shall be generated when the magnet is

39、movedbeyond the break distance.6.4Verification of detection performance6.4.1 GeneralitiesThe general test conditions of 6.2 shall apply to all tests in this series.Detection performance shall be tested against the manufacturers documented claims. Any variablecontrols shall be set to the values recom

40、mended by the manufacturer to achieve the claimedperformance. 6.4.2Measurement of approach/removal distancesBy moving the corresponding magnet relative to the switch component, measure the approach andremoval distances where the switch component generates intruder and reverse signals or messages.Rec

41、ord the response of the switch component. Note the approach and removal distances for all theconfigurations claimed in the manufacturers documentation. Pass/Fail criteria: An intrusion signal or message shall be generated beyond the removal distance andshall generate a reverse signal within the appr

42、oach distance claimed in the manufacturers documentation. BS EN 50131-2-6:2008BS EN 50131-2-6:2008EN 50131-2-6:2008EN 50131-2-6:2008 16 6.5Switch-on delay, time interval between signals, and indication of detectionThe general test conditions of 6.2 apply.Switch on the detectors power supplywith the

43、indicator enabled (if provided), and allow 180 s forstabilisation. Carry out the BTD. Note the response. Carry out the BTD again, after the grade-dependant time interval between signals according to 4.4.1. Note the response again. Disable theintrusion indicator (if provided). Repeat the BTD. Pass/Fa

44、il criteria: The detector shall generate an intrusion signal or message in response to the BTD.The intrusion signal or message and the intrusion indicator shall respond at the same time. A secondintrusion signal or message shall be generated after the grade-dependant time interval specified in4.4.1

45、has elapsed. With the indicator disabled (if provided) the detector shall still generate an intrusionsignal or message. 6.6 Tamper security6.6.1 GeneralitiesThe general test conditions of 6.2 apply.The tests of this subclause shall be applied to the detector at the grade in accordance with Table 1.6

46、.6.2Prevention of unauthorised access to the connections or components within thedetector Attempt to overcome the tamper detection device by deliberate attack with normally available objectsas listed in AnnexC, by distorting the housing or byattempting to access the connections orcomponents within t

47、he detector without causing visible external damage. Grade dependency appearsin Table 1. Monitor the outputs of the detector.Pass/Fail criteria: Where there is no physical damage to the detector, a tamper signal or message shall be generated before access is gained to any circuit connection or contr

48、ol that can adjust theperformance of the detector6.6.3Detection of removal from the mounting surfaceThe object of this test is to confirm the operation of the tamper device by removing the detector fromthe mounting surface. Place the unit on the mounting surface without the fixing screws, unless the

49、y form a part of the tamperdetection device.Slowly prise the detector away from the mounting surface and attempt to prevent the tamper devicefrom operating byinserting a strip of steel between 100 mm and 200mm long by 10 mm to 20 mmwide, and 1 mm thick between the rear of the detector and its mounting surface. Attempt to gainaccess to the circuit connections or controls. Monitor the outputs of the detector.Pass/Fail criteria: A tamper signal or message shall be generated before the tamper device can beinhibited or access is gained to any circuit connection or
