17、 connectors within the scope of IEC technical committee 48. They may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detail specification. The object of this part of IEC 60512 is to detail a standard test method to assess the ability of a connector to withstand the heating stresses produced by

20、 as given in the detail specification.3.2 Preparation of soldering iron A soldering iron whose working surface is at 350 C, according to 5.6 of IEC 60068-2-20 shall be provided, the size of this iron shall be that given in the detail specification. 4 Method 4.1 Procedure The test shall be carried ou
21、t in accordance with, 5.6 of IEC 60068-2-20, Method 2: Soldering iron at 350 C. EN 60512-12-5:2006 4 44.2 Measurements 4.2.1 Initial measurements Visual examination according to IEC 60512-1-1 shall be done. There shall be no defects which would impair the validity of the test. 4.2.2 Final measuremen
22、ts Visual examination according to IEC 60512-1-1 shall be done with 10u magnification. There shall be no defects, additional to any found in 4.2.1, which would impair the normal functioning of the connector. 5 Details to be specified When this test is required by a detail specification the following
