20、on, is used for testing electromechanical components within the scope of IEC technical committee 48. This test may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detail specification. The object of this test is to define a standard test method to assess the ability of components to withstand s

Page3 EN6051264:2002 BSI24May2002065-21-64 EI:C0022 4 Specimens shall be tested in a manner such that all mechanical features, such as panel-mounting arrangements, locking and retaining devices, are fully utilized. Details of the monitoring circuit, including the method and attachment points of se
27、nsors on the specimen shall be specified. A minimum of 200 mm of wire or cable shall be unsupported on both ends of the specimen, unless otherwise specified in the detail specification. The wire or cable shall be secured to the vibration fixture bottom plate (or similar location). 3 Test method This
28、 test shall be carried out in accordance with IEC 60068-2-6, Test Fc: Vibration (sinusoidal), using the degree of severity specified in the detail specification. 4 Test conditions The specimens shall be vibrated in each of three mutually perpendicular directions, one of which shall be parallel to th
29、e engagement direction. The vibration magnitude shall be monitored (for controlling the generator) at locations as near as possible to the specimen mounting points. The environment temperature, if other than ambient, shall be specified. 5 Measurements 5.1 Initial measurements shall be carried out as
30、 specified by the detail specification. 5.2 Measurements during the test Unless otherwise specified by the detail specification, monitoring of electrical continuity shall be carried out according to IEC 60512-2-5, Test 2e: Contact disturbance. The contacts and screen shall be connected in series as
31、specified in the detail specification when monitoring continuity. The electrical load condition shall be 100 mA for all contacts unless otherwise specified. The limit of duration of contact disturbance shall be specified in the detail specification. 5.3 Final measurements The specimen shall be elect
32、rically and mechanically checked by the following tests, unless otherwise specified in the detail specification. Visual examination: IEC 60512-1-1, Test 1a. The specimen shall be visually examined without dismantling. There shall be no loosening, displacement of parts or mechanical damage such as to

Sealing (if applicable): IEC 60512-7, Test 14b or other sea
34、ling tests as specified in the detail specification. The leakage rate across all seals, including panel seals, shall be not greater than specified in the detail specification. Operational check The mechanical operational characteristics shall be checked according to the detail specification. 6 Detai
35、ls to be specified When this test is required by the detail specification, the following details shall be specified: a) method of mounting the specimen and associated cable(s)/wire bundle, including the unsupported length of cable from contact to first clamp; b) test severity (frequency range, displ
