22、ocedure(UAP) for acceptance as a European Standard simultaneously with the UAP on prEN61008-1. As the UAP on prEN 61008-1, for which common modifications had been prepared by Technical Committee CENELEC TC23E, Circuit-breakers and similar equipment for household and similar use, did not obtain a suf
23、ficient number of positive votes, neither document was accepted. On the basis of the common modifications added in the revised prEN61008-1, no changes to IEC1008-2-1 were necessary and the document was submitted to the formal vote. The new draft was approved by CENELEC as EN61008-2-1 on1994-03-08. T
24、he following dates were fixed: For products which have complied with the relevant national standard before2000-07-01, as shown by the manufacturer or by a certification body, this previous standard may continue to apply for production until2005-07-01. Conformity of products with the requirements of
25、this standard ensures conformity with the essential requirements of Directive73/23/EEC (Low Voltage Directive) and its amendment93/68/EEC.
