It is identical with IEC 61333:1996. The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted to Tec

3、hnical Committee EPL/51, Transformers, inductors, magnetic components and ferrite materials, which has the responsibility to: aid enquirers to understand the text; present to the responsible international/European committee any enquiries on the interpretation, or proposals for change, and keep the U

4、K interests informed; monitor related international and European developments and promulgate them in the UK. A list of organizations represented on this committee can be obtained on request to its secretary. From 1 January 1997, all IEC publications have the number 60000 added to the old number. For

5、 instance, IEC27-1 has been renumbered as IEC60027-1. For a period of time during the change over from one numbering system to the other, publications may contain identifiers from both systems. 20、cations and a coding system of marking, especially for U and E shape ferrite cores. An alphanumerical marking printed or attached to cores reduces the risk of incorrect assembly, mixing of materials and/or mixing of gapped cores on an assembly line. The markings of the A Lvalue or of the gap length

21、are especially important to avoid this kind of problem and the coding system is specified in this standard. 2 Normative reference The following normative document contains provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this International Standard. At the time of publicati

22、on, the edition indicated was valid. All normative documents are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this International Standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative document indicated below. IEC 62:1992, Marking codes for resistors and capacitors. 3 Marking locations The three locations listed below are recommended for the marking as shown in Figure 1: marking on back surface; marking on lateral areas of back wall; marking on

24、external surface of outer leg. 4 Marking content 4.1 General The following information should be marked on ferrite cores, and the priority of information should follow the order given below if the marking space is limited. A maximum of four lines of marking should be allowed, which include: a) mater

25、ial; b) A Lvalue or gap length; c) date code or batch code; d) trade name or identification of the manufacturer; e) tolerance of A Lvalue or gap length; f) information for a special air-gap geometry such as step gap. The coding systems for date code and tolerance of A Lvalue specified in IEC62 may b

26、e used. The marking shall be legible and shall be able to withstand normal handling. 4.2 Material identification code A maximum of four digits of alphanumerical coding is recommended for material identification. Details of coding should be left free for each manufacturers system. Figure 1 Examples o

27、f marking locationsEN 61333:1998 4 BSI 05-1999 4.3 A Lvalue or gap length The A Lvalue or gap length should be marked on a gapped core only. The coding of the A Lvalue should consist of the letter A (asymmetric gap) and of the A Lvalue in the case where a core set has an air-gap only on one half of

28、it. The coding of the A Lvalue should consist of the letter E (equal gaps) and of the A Lvalue in the case where a core set has air-gaps on both halves. For example, the A Lvalue 630 should be expressed as A630 in the case of an air-gap only on one half of the core set, and the A Lvalue630 should be

29、 expressed as E630 in the case where the core set has air-gaps on both halves. The coding of the gap length should consist of the letter G and the gap length expressed in hundredths of a millimetre corresponding to the gap on the relevant core half only. For example, a gap length of1,25mm should be

30、expressed as G125. For a better understanding of this coding system, other examples of the coding are shown in Table 1.
