20、contains the minimum requirements and severities which a fibre optic isolator shall satisfy in order to be categorised as meeting the requirements of isolator devices used in uncontrolled environments. The requirements cover non-connectorised single mode isolators for category U - Uncontrolled envir

29、e optic interconnecting devices and passive components performance standard - Part 2-1: Fibre optic connectors terminated on single-mode fibre for category U - Unontrolled environment 3 Test All test methods are in accordance with a specific IEC 61300 standard, of which the parts applicable to this

30、standard are mentioned in 5.2. The polarisation mode dispersion test method is presented in IEC 61300-3-32. The samples shall be terminated onto single mode fibres as per IEC 60793-1-1 Type B1.1 in either coated fibres (primary and secondary) or reinforced cable format. Each test defines the number

31、of samples to be evaluated. 4 Test reports Fully documented test reports and supporting evidence shall be prepared and be available for inspections as evidence that the tests have been carried out and complied with. 5 Performance requirements 5.1 Sample size, sequencing and grouping Sample sizes for

32、 the tests are defined in Annex A of this document. Test groups and test sequences shall be performed individually or in sequential order. 33、 Attenuation and return loss performances are given only for non-connectorised isolators. For connectorised components the connector performances shall be in compliance with IEC 61753-2-1. During the environmental tests where monitoring of the isolator is needed, all ports of the device shall be con

34、trolled. 44、ioning. Attenuation shall be measured before, at a maximum interval of 1 h during and after the test. Preconditioning procedure: before test, specimens shall be maintained in room temperature condition for 2 h. Recovery procedure: after test, specimens shall be maintained in room temperature conditi

45、on for 2 h. 8 Dry heat - high temperature endurance During the test the attenuation limits of test No. 1 and the isolation limits of test No. 2 shall be met. Moreover during and on completion of the test the attenuation shall be within 0,3 dB of the initial value at ambient conditions. Return loss s
