6、 (ISO). In 1995 the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) accepted ISO787-24:1985 as European Standard EN ISO787-24:1995. As a consequence of implementing the European Standard this British Standard is renumbered as BS EN ISO787-24 and any reference to BS3483-A6 should be read as a reference

7、to BS EN ISO787-24. It has been assumed in the drafting of this standard that the execution of its provisions will be entrusted to appropriately qualified and experienced people. Terminology and conventions. The text of the International Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as a Br

8、itish Standard without deviation. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards; attention is drawn especially to the following. The comma has been used as a decimal marker. In British Standards it is current practice to use a full point on the basel

A rela

14、ted British Standard to ISO 787-10 is BS3483-B8:1982 “Determination of density (pyknometer method)”. No British Standard corresponds either to ISO4652 or to ISO6209. Additional information. In order to carry out some of the tests described in this standard it is necessary for a reference sample to b

15、e supplied or agreed by the parties concerned (see clause4). A choice of method for density determination is given in8.2.1. For the British Standard the preferred method is ISO787-23 for which there is an identical British Standard (see above). A related British Standard to ISO787-10 is BS3483-B8:19

32、ds of test for pigments and extenders. 1 Scope and field of application This part of ISO787 describes photometric methods of test for comparing in the visible spectrum a) the tinting strength of two similar (see note 1) coloured pigments dispersed in an alkyd resin without a drier; b) the scattering

33、 power of two white pigments of the same type dispersed in an alkyd resin without a drier. These methods of test provide an instrumental alternative to those described in ISO787-16 and ISO787-17 respectively, avoiding the necessity of visual matching. NOTE 1This International Standard is not appropr

34、iate for the comparison of coloured pigments that on reduction differ greatly in colour. NOTE 2When one of these general methods is applicable to a given pigment, only a cross-reference to the appropriate method should be included in the International Standard relating to that pigment, indicating an

35、y detailed modification which may be needed in view of the special properties of the product in question. Only when the appropriate method in this part of ISO787 is not applicable to a particular product should different photometric methods for determination of relative tinting strength and determin

41、ng the power to colour or darken, for example, a white paint in which it is incorporated NOTEAlthough the properties tested are strictly those of the pigmented binder, absorption and scattering by the binder are relatively small and it is assumed in this International Standard that the material unde

46、 net transfer of spectral radiant flux of wavelength in the outward direction from an elementary layer within a body of material illuminated from outside, divided by the product of the thickness of the layer and the difference between the magnitude of the flux in the two directions through the layer
