31、IS:95671 O2002(E/F) iv Foreword ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in

International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commissi

The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standards adopted by the technical c

Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this International Standard may be the subject of patent right

It is necessary, when moving from one language to another, to be completely unambiguous when using equivalent terms; misunderstandings can have serious and ev

The pictorial representation layout is linked to terms in English, French and German but may be adapted to add equivalent terms in other languages, where necessary.

This International Standard can be used on its own or in conjunction with other similar standard

The figures are not necessarily as they should be portrayed on design or techni- cal drawings (e.g. in accordance with ISO 2553

NOTE 2 In addition to terms given in two of the three offi- cial ISO languages (English and French), this International Standard gives the equivalent terms in the German language; these are published under the responsibility of the member body for Germany (DIN).
