The lighting controller shall provide

23、 variable output such that the light output of the lamps shall change linearly (as judged visually) from zero to full over the full movement of the control. NOTEThis requirement is to ensure that the control of light output is not concentrated in one small section of the control. 8.2 Voltage. The tr

The repetitive peak output

25、voltage shall not exceed200% of the nominal lamp voltage. 8.4 Pulse repetition rate. The pulse repetition rate shall be greater than100 per second. 8.5 Voltage regulation. When the load is reduced from100% to10% of the rated value the output voltage shall not change from the controlled value by more

With zero load the lighting controller output shall not exceed110% of the voltage stated in8.2. 9 Efficiency The power loss in the lighting controller shall be as stated in the relevant equipment specification, and shall in

27、 any case not exceed30% of the full rated output power. 10 Operation 10.1 Inrush current. The lighting controller shall not be damaged when initially powered into a representative full lamp load at all control settings. 10.2 Manual controls. The relevant equipment specification shall specify the typ

28、e of manual control and state whether it is to be remote from, or integral with, the lighting controller. 11 Protection 11.1 Excess output voltage. No single fault shall cause the output voltage to rise more than10% above the maximum output voltage specified in8.2. 11.2 Reversed input polarity. The

29、lighting controller shall not be damaged by the inadvertant reversal of the polarity of28V d.c. supply input connections. 11.3 Short circuit capacity. A short circuit on the output, or overload, shall not cause damage to the lighting controller, or excessive heating. 11.4 Open circuit protection. Th

30、e lighting controller shall not be damaged by the removal of the output load. 11.5 Low input voltage. Lighting controllers having28V d.c. inputs shall not be damaged if subjected to inputs down to12V. 12 Environmental conditions 12.1 The lighting controller shall be capable of operation under the te

31、mperature and pressure conditions for the appropriate grade of equipment stated in BS3G100-2.3.2, and specified in the relevant equipment specification. 12.2 The lighting controller shall be capable of operation under the appropriate vibration conditions stated in BS3G100-2.3.1, and specified in the

32、 relevant equipment specification. 12.3 The lighting controller shall be so constructed as to meet the appropriate environmental tests specified in this BritishStandard and the relevant equipment specification. Section 2. Particular requirements 13 Arrangement and construction 13.1 The lighting cont

33、roller shall be capable of operation in any mounting attitude. 13.2 The requirements specified in BS3G100-2.1 shall be observed, particularly those relating to the selection of construction materials having low flammability properties and producing no harmful concentration of toxic products or noxio

34、us emanations. 14 Components All components shall conform to an approved specification 1)and should preferably be selected from approved standard ranges.BSG217:1975 BSI 01-2000 3 15 Electromagnetic interference The lighting controller shall be designed to meet the requirements in BS3G100-4.2 for ele

35、ctromagnetic interference. 16 Magnetic influence The compass safe distance of the lighting controller shall be as small as practicable consistent with the requirements of BS3G100-2.2. 17 Temperature limitation External surfaces of the lighting controller and/or its remote controller shall not exceed

36、40 C above ambient temperature under normal, overload or short circuit conditions. Unless otherwise stated in the equipment specification the lighting controller shall require no external cooling facilities. It shall also be capable of continuous operation at full rated load under the most adverse c

42、ples are submitted for approval. The manufacturer shall disclose to the Approving Authority any proposal to introduce changes affecting interchangeability and shall obtain the Approving Authoritys written approval before applying the change to production. As soon as series production commences a com

Since the output of a lighting controller would normally be of non-sinusoidal wave form and probably of a pulse nature all test equipment shall be capable of measuring true r.m.s. output voltage to an accuracy of 2.5%. 21.5 Peak output voltage. Where reference is made to a ma

Unless otherwise stated all electrical test measurements are referred to the input and output terminations of the lighting controller. 21.7 Output load. A representative lamp

47、 load shall be applied to the output during the tests. 1) For equipment in British civil and military aircraft the Approving Authorities are the Civil Aviation Authority, Airworthiness Division or the Procurement Executive, Ministry of Defence respectively (or through a Design Authority approved by

48、them). 2) A draft BritishStandard “General requirements for ground support electrical supplies for aircraft” is currently in course of preparation.BSG217:1975 4 BSI 01-2000 22 Performance type tests 22.1 Output voltage characteristics. When the maximum normal steady state (NSSL) 3)voltage required i

49、n7.1 is applied to the input of the lighting controller the output characteristics over the complete control range shall be measured when connected to the rated load. The input to the lighting controller shall be reduced to the minimum NSSL voltage and the foregoing three tests and measurements repeated. Under all the above conditions of input supply and load the output supply and output voltage shall conform to the requirements specified in clause8. 22.2 Efficiency. The m
