19、or use on the types of motor vehicles defined in ISO 3833. This part of ISO 12614 is not applicable to the following:a) fuel containers;b) stationary gas engines;c) container mounting hardware;d) electronic fuel management;e) refueling receptacles.NOTE 1 It is recognized that miscellaneous component
20、s not specifically covered herein can be examined to meet the criteria of this part of ISO 12614 and tested according to the appropriate functional tests.NOTE 2 All references to pressure in this part of ISO 12614 are to be considered gauge pressures unless otherwise specified.NOTE 3 This part of IS
21、O 12614 is based upon a working pressure for natural gas as a fuel of 1,6 MPa 16 bar1). Other working pressures can be accommodated by adjusting the pressure by the appropriate factor (ratio). 25、onent shall provide sufficient information to allow the following to be traced.a) the manufacturers or agents name, trademark, or symbol;b) the model designation (part number);c) the working pressure or pressure and temperature range.The following additional markings are recommended.a) the direction
26、 of flow (when necessary for correct installation);b) the type of fuel;c) electrical ratings (if applicable);d) the symbol of the certification agency;e) the type approval number;f) the serial number or date code;g) reference to this part of ISO 12614 (i.e. ISO 12614-17).NOTE This information can be
27、 provided by a suitable identification code on at least one part of the component when it consists of more than one part.5 Construction and assemblyThe natural gas detector shall comply with the applicable provisions of ISO 12614-1 and ISO 12614-2 and with the tests specified in Clause 6 of this par
28、t of ISO 12614.5.1 The output of the natural gas detector shall be joined with signalization of increased concentration of methane on the dash-board. The sensor shall provide the signal at 10 % of the lower explosion limit (LEL). The ECU shall stop the delivery of fuel after 1 min from the signal if
29、 not quoted by the driver. When the signal is 20 % of the LEL, the automatic valve would stop the delivery after 1 min without any influence of the driver.In case of measuring 50 % of the LEL, the valve would be closed immediately.5.2 The output of the natural gas detector can be connected to the EC
30、U of the engine for blocking restart of the engine by the driver before the system inspection (optional).5.3 The gas detector shall not be exposed to the dirt of the traffic.6 Test6.1 ApplicabilityThe tests required to be carried out are indicated in Table 1.2 ISO 2014 All rights reservedBS ISO 1261

33、tector electric connection and the housing.6.2.2 Apply 1 000 V d.c. between one of the connector pins and the housing of the natural gas detector for at least 2 s. The minimum allowable resistance shall be 240 k.6.3 Minimum signalling voltageThe minimum voltage at which the instrument shall produce
34、a warning signal at room temperature shall be 8 V for a 12 V system and 16 V for a 24 V system.
