24、llbesuppliedtoallowpracticaltestingandforonesampletoberetainedfor reference.Itisnotnecessarytoprovideanewsampleforeachmemberofthetestgroup. 4.3Testpanels Enoughadultstoensure200participants 1) betweentheagesof18and45years,withanevendistributionofage andsex,shallbeavailable.Asfaraspossible,theyshallr
25、epresentthesocial,ethnicandculturaloriginsofthe countryasawhole.Theyshallallbehealthy,withnoevidentphysicalor mentalhandicapassociatedwithmanual dexterity. Appropriate subjectsareparentswithchildrenintheageormassgroupforwhichtheCRSisapproved.It issuggestedthatparentsbeallowedtoparticipateascouples,o

Eachrestraintisintendedforagivenageormassgroup,expressedby themanufacturersmarking.Parentswith childrenwithinthedesignatedageormassgroupareselectedassubjects. 4.4Location Therecommendedlocationiswithinashoppingmallortoystore,inaspaceselectedtopreventextraneous distraction.Ifa garag
27、eisused,itisimportanttoprovidegoodgenerallighting,andaseatingareawherethetest panelparticipantscanstudytheinstallationinstructions.Suitablearrangementsshallb e made for keeping the child amused,andtoavoiddistractingtheadultsubjectswhilststudyingth einstructionsandduringtheCRSinstallation test. 4.5Ve
28、hicle The panel shall perform the test witha vehicle seat rigorinanactualvehicle.Thevehicleshallbeselectedfromthe ten most commonly sold vehiclesinthecountryofuse.Thetestagencyshalldeterminewhichvehicleistobeused byarandomchoiceamongthetenmostcommonvehicles.Thegenerallayoutofanappropriatetest rig is

ISO132152:1999(E) 3 5Requirements 5.1Generalsafetyrequirements ThispartofISO13215maybeusedfortheevaluationofcurrentlyapprovedCRSsorforprototypeCRSs. 5.2Requirementsconcerninginstallation Whentherestraintistestedinaccordance
30、with6.3,thefollowingrequirementsshallbemet: a) Atleast85 %oftheadultsinthetestpanelshallbeabletoinstalltherestraintcorrectlyinthevehiclewithin 10minutes; b) Atleast85%oftheadultsinthetestpanelshallbeabletofittheharnesscorrectlytothechildwithin 5minutes. Supplementaryrequirements: For heightadjustabl
31、 e harnesssystems,atleast8 5 %oftheadultsinthetestpanelshallbeabletocorrectlyadapt theharnessfromthelowerpositiontotheupperpositionwithin5minutes. Forcombinationproducts,atleast8 5 %oftheadultsinthetestpanelshallbeabletoalter a CRS correctly from its initialmodetoitsalternativemodewithin10minutes,in
32、sofarasthisinstallationconstitutesanewinstallation. 6Testprocedures 6.1Testsupervision Allproceduresshallbecarriedoutunderthesupervisionof(an)impartialandappropriatelyqualifiedperson(s). GuidanceforobserverscarryingoutthetestsisgiveninannexB. Paneltestingshallbeledbyapersonwhohas knowledgeofthepanel
33、testingmethodandstatisticalmethodsandhowtocombinethemaccordingtothe circumstances; knowledgeofhowtoconductinterviewsandhowtoguideth e panel participants without influencing them in any specificdirection; atleastbasicknowledgeinthephysiologyofthesenses,perceptionandpsychology. Theobservershallnotbepe
34、rsonallyinvolvedinthedesign,productionor marketingoftheproductsunder evaluation. 6.2Preliminarycheckingandpreparation Theobservershallinspecttherestraintpriortotesting,inordert odetermineiftheinstructionscorrespondtothe product. Thesupervisorshallalsoperformtheinstallation,determiningthattheinstalla
35、tionisinaccordancewiththe manufacturersspecification. 6.3CRSinstallationtest 6.3.1Procedure Thetestmaybecarriedoutonall200panelparticipantsorbyasequentialprocedure . If the latter is used, the panel sizewilldependontheresults.Whentestingsequentially,theageandsexconstraintsspecifiedin4.3shallbe adher
36、ed to. It must benotedthatasmallsamplewillnotberepresentativeoftheentirepopulation,andanydistinctISO132152:1999(E) 4 biasintermsofage,socioeconomicgroup,ethnicorigin,earlierproductexperienceorotherwiseshallb eclearly statedinthepresentationoftheresults. Thepermanentinstructionsassociatedwiththeprodu
37、ctshallbedrawntotheattentiono fthesubjects. Demonstrationsorotherinstructions,suchaspamphletsorprintedinstructionleaflets,shallnotbegiventothe subjects. It is however allowed to present thepermanentlabelsinenlargedform,intheshapeofanA4plasticcard orposterandplacedinapositionvisibletotheuser. Thepart
38、icipantsshallnotbeabletoobservetheeffortsofotherstoinstalltherestraint.Theobservershallcheck the restraint prior togivingittoeachparticipanttoensurethatitisnotwornordamagedinanywaythatmayaffect itseaseofinstallation. Each participant shall be givenarestraintwiththerequestthattheparticipantfirststudy
39、thepermanentinstructions andtheninstalltherestraint.Theparticipantsareallowedtoreexaminetheinstructionsatwill. 6.3.2 Expressionofresults Record thetimeneededbythesubjecttoinstalltheseat,andwhethertheallottedtimewasusedwithoutbeingable toinstalltheseat.Notehowmuchtimewasusedtostudytheinstructionsandt
40、operformtheinstallation.Inthe caseofrestraintsrequiringtheuseoftethers,recordwhetherthetetherwascorrectlyfitted. 6.4Harnessinstallationtest(forCRSsthatuseaninternalharnessonly) 6.4.1Procedure Ask each subject to study the installation instructions, in order tobeabletofitthechildintotheharnessorwebbi
41、ng usedbytherestraint. Inthecaseofintegralrestraints,inwhichthechildiskeptwithintherestraintbymeansofinternalwebbing ,the objectofthetestistofitthewebbingcorrectlytothechild.Inthecaseofnonintegralrestraints,inwhichth e child is restrainedbytheadultwebbing,theobjectofthetestistofittheadultwebbingcorr
42、ectlytothechild. 6.4.2 Expressionofresults Recordthetimeneededtofittheharnesscorrectly,orwhetherthewebbingwasfittedtothechildcorrectly,as definedinthedrawingsorrepresentationsprovidedbythemanufacturer, intheallottedtime.Ifthesubjectsdonot succeedinclosingthebuckle,recordthisinformationaswell. 7Asses
