、n product or a label attached to the product (or accompanying documentation). The content and scope of CE marking is set out in Article 9(2). Some products however, are too small to affix the entire CE marking to the product packaging consistent with Article 9(2). In these cases, Article 9(1) of the
、 CPR states that CE marking can be affixed to the accompanying documents instead. Nevertheless, the absence of any visible CE marking on the label of the product packaging will lead to considerable problems with its marketing and free movement in the European Economic Area (EEA). Consequently, only
、in cases where it is not possible to affix the CE marking containing all information required by Article 9(2) of the CPR directly on the product itself or its packaging, an additional customer information (short summary of the CE marking), small enough to fit on a small label/product such as a joint
、 sealant container can be affixed. This additional customer information represents additional voluntary information to the CE marking that is consistent with Article 9(2) and can be found in the accompanying documents. For tubular bags without labels and tubes, which are sometimes supplied in carton
、s (external packaging) containing several bags/tubes, the entire CE marking should be affixed to the accompanying documents in accordance with the CPR, Article 9(1). To improve marketability or acceptance of the product on the market, the entire CE marking can be affixed additionally to the external
、 packaging or, if applicable, on blister packaging. This clause gives an example of CE marking and the additional customer information. 4.2 Example of CE marking This subclause gives an example of CE marking of sealants in interior application under system 4 and of Euroclass E subject to fire regula
