CGSB is eng

2、aged in the production of voluntary standards in a wide range of subject areas through the media of standards committees and the consensus process. The standards committees are composed of representatives of relevant interests including producers, consumers and other users, retailers, governments, e

3、ducational institutions, technical, professional and trade societies, and research and testing organizations. Any given standard is developed on the consensus of views expressed by such representatives.CGSB has been accredited by the Standards Council of Canada as a national standards-development or

4、ganization. The standards that it develops and offers as National Standards of Canada conform to the criteria and procedures established for this purpose by the Standards Council of Canada. In addition to standards it publishes as National Standards of Canada, CGSB produces standards to meet particu

5、lar needs, in response to requests from a variety of sources in both the public and private sectors. Both CGSB standards and CGSB national standards are developed in conformance with the policies described in the CGSB Policy and Procedures Manual for the Development and Maintenance of Standards.CGSB

6、 standards are subject to review and revision to ensure that they keep abreast of technological progress. CGSB will initiate the review of this standard within five years of the date of publication. Suggestions for their improvement, which are always welcome, should be brought to the notice of the s

7、tandards committees concerned. 32、dCAN/CGSB-3.517-2017Supersedes CAN/CGSB-3.517-2015Diesel fuel1 ScopeThis standard applies to two types of diesel fuel, Type A and Type B, suitable for use in high-speed diesel engine powered equipment for on-road and off-road applications and in select equipment powered by medium speed diesel engine

33、s.Type A is intended for use in selected applications such as urban buses and underground mining or when ambient temperatures require better low-temperature properties than Type B.Fuel meeting this standard may be used for underground mining applications that were formerly covered by CAN/CGSB-3.16 (

The 2.5% Low-End Design Temperature for most

This data is based upon an analysis of hourly weather readings from weather stations across Canada.3.2diesel fuelmiddle distillate fuel composed of hydrocarbons and naturally occurring,

47、mercially supplied.4 Classification4.1 The distillate fuel shall be supplied in the following types, as specified (see 8.1):4.1.1 TypesType AType B5 General requirements5.1 The diesel fuels specified shall be hydrocarbons that may contain additives designed to improve their properties or performance

48、, for example, diesel ignition quality, low-temperature flow properties and electrical conductivity. Fatty Acid Alkyl Esters are not allowed in this standard except at concentrations below 1%. For diesel fuel containing above 1% Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME), use CAN/CGSB-3.520 or CAN/CGSB-3.522.5

49、.2 The diesel fuel shall be a stable homogeneous liquid free from foreign matter that is likely to clog filters or nozzles, or to damage equipment.5.3 There shall be no intentional addition of used lubricating oils, used solvents, triglycerides (such as raw vegetable oils, animal fats, fish oils or used cooking oils), or other fluids which are not normal components of the diesel fuel.6 Detailed requirementsFor an explanation of the significance of tests and the methods used, see Annex C.6.1
