Any sign of leakage shall be cause forrejection.6.6.2 Deflected JointAn assembly of two sections of pipe, each 300 mm (12 in) long shall be connected with a coupling inaccordance with the manufacturers instructions.The assembled joint shall be placed in a test fixture with one pipe section held
42、 in a fixed position. Theother pipe shall be deflected, in any direction, to the angle specified in Table 4 and then restrained frommovement.The assembled joint shall be filled with water, expelling all air. Pressure shall be applied until the valuespecified is reached and then shall be maintained f
43、or 30 min. Any sign of leakage shall be cause forrejection.6.7 Hydrostatic Strength Test6.7.1A hydrostatic strength test shall be conducted as follows:(a) Place the pipe, coupling, or pipe and coupling with a factory-assembled joint, in a hydrostatic pressuretesting machine with gaskets that seal th
44、e ends but exert no end pressure. (b) Expel all air and apply the internal water pressure at a uniform rate of approximately 69 kPa/s(10 psi/s) until a pressure of 345 kPa (50 psi) is reached; maintain that pressure for at least 5 s.6.7.2Couplings shall be permitted to be tested separately with a ru
45、bber bladder inside the coupling.6.7.3Failure of the hydrostatic pressure test is considered to have taken place when the pipe or coupling fails tosustain the test pressure for the 5 s period.6.8 Test Procedures for Fabricated Fittings6.8.1 GeneralTesting shall be performed at 23E 2EC after the fitt
46、ings have been aged and conditioned for at least 7 d.6.8.2 Bending Test6.8.2.1Wyes shall be subjected to a bending moment of 30 NCm (265 in lb) per 25 mm of the branch IDcircumference in accordance with Figure 3 or 4.6.8.2.2For tees, the procedures shall be permitted to be modified, providing an equ
47、ivalent bending moment isapplied.6.8.3 Lap Shear TestLap shear strength shall be tested using the following method:(a) Ensure that test specimens have flat parallel ends (see Figure 5).(b) Use a press with a capacity of at least 50 kN (20 000 lbf).(c) Successively place onto the lower press platen a

49、 25 15 kN/min (10 000 5 000 lbf/min) until failure.(e) Observe the fracture and report the failure mode, ie,(i) failure in shear at the inner polymeric cement surface; or(ii) failure by splitting of the outer pipe section.(f) Test two specimens and if the failure loads differ by more than 15% from the average, then test athird specimen.(g) Report the lowest failure load and the average failure load.(h) Determine the minimum average shear strength using the failure load in Item (g) and the bond areaof the joint.6.8.4 Bend Back TestAt least two specimen
