The Canadian Standards Association (CSA), under w

12、hose auspices this National Standard has been produced, was chartered in 1919 and accredited by the Standards Council of Canada to the National Standards system in 1973. It is a not-for-profit, nonstatutory, voluntary membership association engaged in standards development and certification activiti

13、es. CSA standards reflect a national consensus of producers and users - including manufacturers, consumers, retailers, unions and professional organizations, and governmental agencies. The standards are used widely by industry and commerce and often adopted by municipal, provincial, and federal gove

14、rnments in their regulations, parlicularly in the fields of health, safety, building and construction, and the environment. Individuals, companies, and associations across Canada indicate their support for CSAs standards development by volunteering their time and skills to CSA Committee work and sup

15、porting the Associations objectives through sustaining memberships. The more than 7000 committee volunteers and the 2000 sustaining memberships together form CSAs total membership from which its Directors are chosen. Sustaining memberships represent a major source of income for CSAs standards develo

16、pment activities. The Association offers certification and testing services in support of and as an extension to its standards development activities. To ensure the integrity of its certification process, the Association regularly and continually audits and inspects products that bear the CSA Mark.

26、 of independent, autonomous organizations working towards the further development and improvement of voluntary standardization in the national interest. The principal objects of the Council are to foster and promote voluntary Standardization as a means of advancing the national economy, benefiting t

27、he health, safety, and welfare oi the public, assisting and protecting the consumer, facilitating domestic and international trade, and furthering international cooperation in the field of standards. A National Standard of Canada is a standard which has been approved by the Standards Council of Cana

28、da and one which reflects a reasonable agreement among the views of a number of capable individuals whose collective interests provide to the greatest practicable extent a balance of representation of producers, users, consumers, and others with relevant interests, as may be appropriate to the subje

29、ct in hand. It normally is a standard which is capable of making a significant and timely contribution to the national interest. Approval of a standard as a National Standard of Canada indicates that a standard conforms to the criteria and procedures established by the Standards Council of Canada. A

30、pproval does not refer to the technical content of the standard; this remains the continuing responsibility of the accredited standards-development organization. Those who have a need to apply standards are encouraged to use National Standards of Canada whenever practicable. These standards are subj

31、ect to periodic review; therefore, users are cautioned to obtain the latest edition from the organization preparing the standard. It is concerned with identifiable information which can be related as transactions, which may involve two or more open systems. The Recommendations I International Standard for OS1 TP

35、defines a basic TP Service. It provides sufficient facilities to support transaction processing, and establishes a framework for coordination across multiple TP resources in separate Open Systems. The Recommendations I International Standard for OS1 TP does not specify the interface to local resourc

36、es or access facilities that are provided within the local system. However detailed consideration of access to the local resources and their management may lead to some enhancement in a future revision of the Recommendations I International Standard. To evaluate conformance of a particular implement

37、ation, it is necessary to have a statement of which capabilities and options have been implemented for a given OSI protocol. Such a statement is called a Protocol Implementation Conformance Statement (PICS). The PICS Proforma, Annex A, has been designed to be a self contained section of this Recomme

38、ndation I Part of ISO/IEC 10026 for use in testing and procurement. V ISO/EC 10026-4 : 1995 (E) . INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ITU-T RECOMMENDATION INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - OPEN SYSTEMS INTERCONNECTION - DISTRIBUTED TRANSACTION PROCESSING: PROTOCOL IMPLEMENTATION CONFORMANCE STATEMENT (PICS) PROFORMA 1 Sc

39、ope This Recommendation I International Standard provides the PICS proforma for the Distributed Transaction Processing protocol as specified in ITU-T Rec. X.862 I ISO/IEC 10026-3 in compliance with the relevant requirements, and in accordance with the relevant guidance, given in CCI“ Rec. X.291 1 IS

40、O/IEC 9646-2. Details of the use of this proforma is provided in this Recommendation I Part of ISO/IEC 10026. Irnplementors of implementations claiming conformance to ITU-T Rec. X.862 I ISO/IEC 10026-3 shalI complete the proforma as part of the conformance requirements. The level of detail required

41、in the proforma exceeds that of the protocol specification by requiring details to uniquely identify the implementation and the supplier. NOTE - PICS are related to base standards and only base standards. PICS Proforma structure might be expanded and refined for other documents (e.g. ISPs) using the

42、 base standards (e.g. ESPICS Proforma). 2 Normative references The following Recommendations and International Standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this Recommendation I International Standard. At the time of publication, the editions indicated

All Recommendations and Standards are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this Recommendation I International Standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the Recommendations and Standards listed below.
