Ingeneral,

23、thePEDactsasajurisdictionalregulationwithemphasisongeneralrequirements,whileforthedetails ofdesignandconstruction,referenceneedstobemadetoappropriateengineeringstandards.ANSI/ASMEB31.3 Codeisastandardaddressingdesign,fabrication,examinationandtestingofpipingsystems.Itsuseissubjectto contractualagree

24、mentsbetweentheownerandthemanufacturer/assemblerofapipingsystem.ThePEDdoes notprohibittheuseofANSI/ASMEB31.3(orindeedofanycode),howevertherequirementsspecifiedinthePED shouldbefulfilled.
