4、in accordance with ETS 300 341 intended for the transmission of signals to initiate a specific response in the receiver. The application form shall be completed by the applicant and submitted to a test laboratory accredited in accordance with EN45001 and EN45002 or ISO guides 25 and 38 or a national

5、 standard conforming to EN45001 and EN45002 or IS0 guides 25 and 38. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWINQ NOTES: Note (a): Number of items for type testing More than one item of equipment may be required to be submitted for type testing where an equipment needs to be modified to provide connections to facilita

6、te testing, i.e. measurements requiring direct connections to be made, for example, audio measurements. In such cases a second un-modified equipment may be required for radiated i.e. case or cabinet radiation or ERP (effective radiated power) measurements to be performed. hill details of modificatio

Note (b): Differing regulatory requirements ETS 300 341 allows for variations in frequency range, maximum and average radiated power, channel separation etc. to reflect differing national regulatory requirements. Manufacturers producing equipment to this ETS may wish to offer

8、an equipment of the same basic design in a number of different forms with different RF characteristics, such as the frequency range, channel separation, transmitter power etc. This is subsequently referred to as a family of equipments. Each equipment in the family must be given a unique Type Designa

9、tion. In the case of equipment with different frequency ranges and channel separations, a separate set of test results will be required for each frequency range and each channel separation offered. In the case of equipment with different transmitter powers, the procedures laid down in ETC 300 341 pe

10、rmit use of a single set of test results. Note (a): Equipment with differing optional features If an applicant wishes to obtain type approval, on the basis of a single set of test results for a family of equipments derived from the same basic design, where the equipments in the family have different

11、 operational features, such as audio output powers, which are not a requirement of FTS 300 341, then the following considerations shall be observed. i) Any operational feature, not including signalling, shall be clearly defined by the applicant at the time of application, so that an assessment can b

12、e made by the national regulatory authority as to whether the addition of the feature concerned, which may be achieved in hardware or software, can affect any of the performance parameters measured in accordance with ETS 300 341, and thus assess whether further testing is needed. ii) it is further i

13、ntended to provide guidance on the above in consultation with CEPT WGRR. It is intended to periodically revise the Technical Report as new operational features are developed. 1 i) in the case of combined speech/non-speech equipment, the speech part of the equipment should be tested to the requiremen

14、ts of ETS 300 296, and additionally the measurements described in the following sub- clauses of ETS 300 341 shall be carried out: 8.3 Adjacent channel power 9.1 Average usable sensitivity (field strength, responses) ii) In the case where an equipment has already been type approved according to ETS 3

15、00 296, and is resubmitted for type testing to ETS 300 341 the additional measurements as described in the following sub-clauses shall be carried out: 8.3 Adjacent channel power 8.4 Transmitter radiated spurious emissions 9.1 Average usable sensitivity (field strength, responses) Note (a): Accessori

16、es It is the applicants responsibility when submitting equipment (s) to the test laboratory to provide appropriate connectors or alternative coupling arrangements to facilitate the connection of test equipment by the test laboratory to the equipment under test (E.U.T.). This should enable: i) operat

17、ion of the equipment “press to talk“ transmitter operation; ii) access to the equipment modulator input; iii) access to the signal at the demodulator output; iv) access to the analogue output of the RF part; v) coupling arrangement (e.g. optical or acoustic coupling); vi) access to the receiver audi

18、o output. If the equipment has more than one audio output then suitable connectors for these are also required. It is not permissible to access the receiver audio output in parallel with the loudspeaker. vii) means of connecting the equipment to an external power supply. Nota (f): Pre-production mod

19、el For type approval to be granted on the basis of tests conducted on a pre- production model, that model must be manufactured to the same production drawings and manufacturers specification as the later production models. Where this is not the case the national regulatory authority reserves the rig

20、ht to require either partial or full type testing to be carried out on the final production equipment. Note (8): Applicants responsibility It is the applicants responsibility to obtain information on the appropriate technical parameters (channel spacing, power level, .) defined in each countrys nati

21、onal regulations before applying for type approval.
