2、ropean Radiocoinniiniications Committee” (ERC) : “The European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations, coilsidering a) that there is an urgent need for common procedures for type testing, type approval and marking for radio equipment for non-public radio systems which are not in

3、tended for connection to a Public Network and which are covered by ETSs and I-ETSs, b) that CEPT Administrations view as an ultimate desirable goal a system based on the model of approvals and marking contained in the telecommunications terminal equipment directive, adapted as appropriate for equipm

4、ent for non-public radio systems, c) that this Recommendation should be seen as a first stage in harmonization of type approval procedures, d) that it is desirable to have harmonized conditions of accreditation for test laboratories, e) that it is desirable to avoid duplication of testing, f) that p

5、rocedures described in this Recommendation should be compatible with relevant EC directives, O recommends CEPT Administrations agree to adopt common procedures as described below for type testing, type approval and marking of radio equipment intended for non-public radio systems covered by ETSs and

6、I-ETSs: 1. type testing shall be carried out by test laboratories in CEPT member countries accredited in accordance with 2. (i) a CEPT Administration shall accept as a basis for type approval the report of type tests carried out by test laboratories referred to in paragraph 1 on radio equipment inte

7、nded for non-public radio systems that show conformity with the relevant ETS or I-ETS and meet the Administrations regulatory requirements; (ii) in addition CEPT Administrations who wish to do so may accept a “Certificate of conformity” issued by an accredited test laboratory authorized by an Admini

8、stration to issue such certificates showing that an equip- ment meets the requirements of the relevant ETS or I-ETS, as the basis for type approval, 3. for equipment referred to in paragraph 6. (i) CEPT Administrations shall grant type approval on the basis of a type approval certificate issued by a

9、nother Administration showing that the equipment meets the requirement of the relevant ETS or I-ETS. The type approval certificate shali contain as a minimum the following information: - the CEPT Administration that issued the original type approval for this equipment - the manufacturer - the standa

10、rd (relevant ETS or I-ETS) - the type designation - the type of equipment (e.g. base station, mobile station, handportable or other). In cases where an Administration considers it necessary it may request the test report form showing the results of type tests of the equipment, 4. the test report for

11、m referred to in paragraph 2 and the application form for testing shall be drawn up in accordance with the “model” test report and “model” application form drafted by the CEPT/ERC. The application form shall include a requirement to declare the type designation of the equipment, IS0 guide 25 or EN 4

13、meet different regulatory requirements. In relevant cases Administrations shall accept the results of tests carried out in this way as a basis for type approval, provided that they show that those Administrations regulatory requirements are meet, 6. (i) in the case of equipment operating on harmoniz

14、ed frequencies, and conforming to a fully harmonized ETS or I-ETS, where free circulation is envisaged, the equipment shall bear a mark in the form given in the Recommendation dealing with free circulation of the equipment in question. Whenever possible the mark should be in the form shown in Annex

(i) OF THIS RECOMMEND

16、ATION The equipment shall bear a mark in the following form: CEPT X Y Where X is the symbol of the equipment, specified in the relevant CEET Recommendation, and Y is the symbol of the national Administration which issued the type approval certificate. The symbol could be followed by the national aut

17、horization number.
