The CCSB is engaged in the production of vol

6、untary standards in a wide range of subject areas through the media of standards committees and the consensus process. The standards committees are composed of representatives of relevant interests including producers, consumers and other users, retailers, governments, educational institutions, tech

7、- nical, professional and trade societies, and research and test- ing organizations. Any given standard is developed on the consensus of views expressed by such representatives. The Ministers Advisory Council on CGSB reviews the results of the consensus process. The CCSB has been accredited by the S

8、tandards Council of Canada as a national standards-writing organization. The standards that it develops and offers as National Standards of Canada conform to the criteria and procedures established for this purpose by the Standards Council of Canada. In addition to standards it publishes as national

9、 standards, the CGSB produces standards to meet particular needs, in response to requests from a variety of sources in both the public and private sectors. Both CCSB standards and national standards developed by the CCSB are developed in conformance with the policies described in the Policy Manual f

10、or the Development and Maintenance of Standards by CGSB. CCSB standards are subject to review and revision at any time, so as to ensure that they keep abreast of technological progress. Suggestions for their improvement, which are al- ways welcome, should be brought to the notice of the stand- ards

11、committees concerned. Changes to standards are issued either as separate amendment sheets or in new editions of standards. An up-to-date listing of CCSB standards, including details on latest issues and amendments, and ordering instructions, will be found in the Catalogue of Standards and Qualified

12、Products Lists which is published annually and is available without charge upon request. 34、extile fabrics, It is primarily for use in the laboratory. PRINCIPLE Specimens of known dimensions are taken from the fabric and their masses determined. APPARATUS A rigid scale graduated in milli- metres, or a metal die for cutting specimens of a known area of not less than 20 cm2. A balance capabl

35、e of determining the mass of the specimen or specimens with an accuracy of 2 0.5% of the reading. TEST SPECIMEN Unless otherwise specified, samples may be tested as received (Note 1). Specimen Size. The specifying au- thority should designate the method (par. 4.2.1 or 4.2.2). OBJET La prsente mthode

No selvedges shall be in- cluded (Note 2). 4.2.2 Alternatively, a minimum of ten die- cut test specimens may be used, each havin an area of not less t

If rectangular specimens are not to be cut with a die, first carefully outline them on the fabric with pen- cil, ink, tailors chalk, etc. Measure the length and width of such speci- mens with an accuracy of.? 0.5% of the reading. Calculate the area of each specimen (Note 3). NOTE 2:

43、 If the precision with which mass is to be measured is specified, reference should be made to CAN/CGSB-4.2 No. 1-M for proce dures to determine the number of test specimens required. If this is not known, the procedures given in par. 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 above shall be followed. NOTE 3: In testing knitte
