3、 agency within Public Works and Government Services Canada. CGSB is engaged in the production of voluntary standards in a wide range of subject areas through the media of standards committees and the consensus process. 29、cified in Column 3 of Table 1 for the IBC described in Column 1 having the corresponding design characteristics in Column 2. 4.3 IBC Types by Code The IBC described in Column 1 of Table 2 having the design characteristics described in Column 2 shall be assigned the corresponding IBC Code in Column 3

30、. 4.4 Use of the Letter “W” When assigned in accordance with the requirements of par. 11.7, the capital letter “W” shall follow the IBC Code. 4.5 Service Equipment The service equipment of an IBC shall be protected, or positioned in order to protect it, from damage during handling and transport. An

31、IBC consisting of a body within a framework shall be constructed in such a way that the service equipment cannot be damaged if the connections between the framework allow relative expansion or movement. 4.6 Bottom Discharge Valve The bottom discharge valve of an IBC shall be designed so that it can

32、be secured in the closed position and so that the open or closed position is readily visible. 4.7 Secondary Means of Closing An IBC for liquids shall have a secondary means of closing the discharge aperture. 4.8 IBC Design Report A report shall be completed in accordance with Appendix A for every IB

33、C design type, and the report shall be sent to the Director. 4.9 Notice to the User The manufacturer of an IBC shall provide the initial user of the IBC with a written notice that indicates a. the substance for which the IBC was designed and the manner in which the IBC was tested, including the type

34、 of closures for and the procedures for closing the particular IBC design type; and b. that the IBC is not designed for partial filling, if applicable. MARKING 5.1 Primary Marking 5.1.1 Size, Location, and Content Every IBC shal

49、l bear markings that are durable, legible, at least 12 mm in height, and readily visible. The markings shall appear on the outer casing of a composite IBC. The markings shall consist of the following sequence of numbers, letters and symbols: a.
