19、he calculations and measurements required far 3.3.2. There ensued a period of gathering further data uch as spectral irradiances, and ultimately all the calculations were carried out. CSfter delays amounting to some years, it was pasible to complete the calculations. Preliminary examination of the d

20、ata, reported at the 1981 meeting of the committee in Berlin, showed that the spread in measured results was so great that additional . effort in applying the more accurate but more complex calculation methods did not appear Justified- We there+Qre utilized the simplest alternatives. It was passible

21、 to abtain the rdlected radiance factors of the intercomparison samples measured by the use of a two-monochromator instrument. These values were used for all the data set5 on the assumption that they represented the most accurate evaluation of this quantity possible. Only one laboratory used an inte

22、grating-sphere spectrophotometer. In this case, the spectral irradiance an each specimen was determined by using the spectrophotometer as a spectroradiometer L1,223. The calculation of the modified fluorescent radiance factor was carried out by use af the methud assuming 21 CIE i6 88 9006145 0003395

25、NS CIND DCITA Table i provides information on the samples used in the intercamparison. In column 2 i5 given a brief description and a colar name for each sample. Samples 5-7 were of the “Dayglo“ type; note that the following samples were similar but not identical ta samples used in ref. 1: 3 and C,

26、4 and D, 5 and E, 7 and F. Column 3 li5t5 the wavelength of maximum CRF of the sample under daylight illumination, and column 4 gives the longest wavelength of excitation, the lowest waveength at which the reflected radiance factor and the conventional reflectometer value are equal C221. Column 5 gi

27、ves the shortest wavelength of emission. Characteristics of the instruments used in the participating laboratories are given in Table If. The first four COlUmn5 provide, respectively, the laboratory number (here 3A represents the 1981 measurements in Laboratory 3, and 3B the 1983 remeasurements in t

28、he same laboratory), whether the instrument wa5 a one- or two-monochromator type, the illuminating and viewing geometry (with I. S. desig- nating integrating-sphere), and the nature o+ the instrument saurce. The Source Cmnformance Factors, calculated as des- cribed in 3.3.1, are given in columns 5 a

29、nd &; for the inte- grating-sphere instrument, these were calculated separately for each sample as listed in column 7. Laboratories 1 and 2 used Zeicis DMC-26 spectrophotom- eter, and Laboratory 3 a Zeiss DflC-25. The instruments of Laboratories 4 and 5 were research spectrophc#tometers. Two other laboratories were invited ta join the intercomparison; 23
