The International Standard was reviewed by the CGSB committee to determine
31、itssuitability for Canadian use. It was agreed to use it in total, with the exception of the following item:Replace the word “thread” with the word “yarn” wherever it appears.Note: The CGSB Committee agreed that in Canada, for the purpose of this standard, the word “thread” should beinterpreted as “
32、yarn.” In this context, “yarn” and “thread” are defined as follows:Yarn A continuous strand of textile fibres that may be composed of endless filaments or shorter fibres twisted orotherwise held together. Yarns may be single or ply, and form the basic elements for cabled yarn, fabric, thread andtwin
