40、(exposed), and submerged locations and designed to be used in accordance with the Rules of theCanadian Electrical Code, Part I.1.2This Standard applies toa) pumps for either permanent or cord-connection to the source of supply;b) cord- and plug-connected pumps; andc) component-type pump units intend

41、ed to be built into equipment covered by another Standard ofthe Canadian Electrical Code, Part II.1.3This Standard does not apply to pumps for hazardous locations or pumps required to handle flammableliquids such as gasoline pumps.1.4Clauses 4 to 7 are general in nature and apply to all motor-operat

42、ed liquid pump units. They aresupplemented and amended by additional clauses applying to specific types of pumps, as follows:a) Clause 8 submersible pumps;b) Clause 9 cord- and plug-connected poolside pumps;c) Clause 10 insulated wet end pumps;d) Clause 11 extra-low-voltage recreational vehicle pump
