28、tap bolts are used to attach air shutters, manifold supports or other parts which must be removed for normal servicing or replacement, they shall be of rust-resisting materialor if of steel, shall have a rust-resisting coating. Bolts, nuts, screws, except sheet metal screws, and other threaded parts

29、 used in the general assembly shall have threads conforming to the current Standard for Square and Hexagon Bolts and Nuts, Studs and Wrench Openings, CSA B33 .l. All controls and burners shall be accessible for normal servicing and functional adjustment in position, and shall be replaceable during n

30、ormal servicing. Manifold assemblies which permit removal of control (s) intact shall be considered to meet this requirement for servicing. Removal of an access panel or door to provide access to a control compartment shall be considered acceptable. 2.1.7.1 Nothing shall be provided for the purpose

31、of permitting any safety control to be rendered ineffective or allowing firing of burners without the protection of each of the required safety controls. 2.1.8 Heads and nuts of bolts which must be removed to permit the removal of cleanout plates shall not be placed where they will be in contact wit

32、h flue gases, unless of suitable material or suitably protected. 2.1.9 Equipment shall be constructed of materials suitable for the purpose and of sufficient strength and durability to snsure safe and reliable service. 2.1.9.1 Burner parts shall be constructed from materials which are known to be su

33、itable for the service to which they normally will be subjected. Moving parts, such as gears, shafting, couplings, fans, pumps, etc. shall be properly enclosed to prevent personal injury and inter- ference with their operation. 2.1.10 2.1.11 Each unit shall include all the essential components neces

34、sary for its normal function when installed as intended. The various parts of the unit shall be constructed and assembled in a manner to ensure strength, rigidity and dur ab i 1 ity . 2.1.12 ,L 2.1.13 2.1.14 2.2 2.2.1 2.2.2 The units, if disassembled for shipment by the manufacturer, shall be arrang

35、ed in as few sub- assemblies as practicable. Each shall be capable of being incorporated readily into the final assembly threading, welding, or similar tasks by the installer. In the case of two or more subassemblies which must bear a definite relationship to each other for the proper and safe opera

36、tion of the equipment, they shall be arranged, constructed and match-marked to allow and facilitate joining to the unit only in the correct relationship with each other without need for alteration or adjustment; or such subassemblies shall be assembled, tested and shipped from the factory as one ele

37、ment. Provision shall be made to permit the operator to sight the main burner Fgniter(s) (pilot burner or direct electrical igniter(s) and main burner(s) flame(s) at a point adjacent to the burner, during a burner light-off. without requiring alteration, cutting, drilling, *. Sufficient and reasonab

38、le accessibility shall be afforded to all burners, controls, and safety devices for normal operat ion. Nameplate Marking The following information shall appear on each burner: 2.2.1.1 The manufacturers or vendors name and address. 2.2.1.2 Type number or catalogue number or des ignat ion of burner. 2

39、.2.1.3 Model number of burner. 2.2.1.4 Type of fuel for which the equipment is designed, the calorific value of the gas, the minimum and maximum gas inputs, the required designed manifold pressure, and the required inlet pressure or pressure range at the point of supply connection. 2.2.1.5 Overfire

40、draft or range of drafts, (negative pressure) on which minimum and maximum burner ratings are based, OR, overfire positive pressure or range of positive pressures on which minimum and maximum burner inputs have been rated (forced draft and power types of conversion burners .) Total electrical rating

Refer also to 2.6.4 for capacitor ignition energy systems. Main Burner Bodies of burners shall be of substantial a

43、nd durable con- struction, and the material of the parts of the burner that are intended to be subjected to the heat of the combustion zone, shall have a melting point of above 1450 F. Ports shall be machined or otherwise accurately made. Joinzs, w5en used in the pressure zone or in the blx-ner head

44、 af a burner assembly, shall be gastight and shall not depend for mechanical strength nor primarily for tightness an cezimt or other sealing material except where such joints may be considered part of the port area. Joints shall be securely boltsd, screwed, machined, welded, brazed or of equivalent

45、construct ion. Gauzss shall not be used in burner construction. Bcrners shall be readily removable and shall be constructed so that they are essentially self-locating. They shall not be bolted or locked to their support within the burner compartment unless the supports and burners are removable as a

46、 whole, but shall be secured so that they will not twist, slide or drop out of posicion in normal use. Bolt holes shall not intersect gasways unless adequate provision is made to assure permanent gastightness. Removable burner heads shall fit in the correct position only, and be connected in the hea

47、t zone so that they will rernain in the proper position. Screw type fasteners of the unlockable type are not acceptable Burner assemblies shall be so constructed that the assemblies can be easily removed, cleaned and replaced in the field. Burner parts, when adjustable, shall be provided with suitab

49、tion can be so made as to prevent its twisting, sliding, or dropping out of the correct position. Burners of the “swing type“ shall be provided with reliable means for locking the burner in the firing position and, for automatically lighted burners, to prevent their discharging fuel when in other than the firing position. The temperature attained by components in normal operation should not exceed
