41、e.1.2The intent of this Standard is to reduce the risk of injury to the face and eyes without compromising theform, appeal, or visual demands of the game. This reduction of risk is based on the use of the faceprotectora) as intended within the rules of the game; andb) in accordance with the manufact

42、urers instructions.Note: Ringette is a sport with intrinsic hazards. Participation in ringette implies the acceptance of some risk ofinjury. Use of a face protector certified under this Standard will not prevent all injuries.1.3This Standard specifies requirements for the following items as they rel

43、ate to face protectors for use inringette:a) materials used in fabrication;b) assembly, design, and finish;c) areas of coverage;d) optical requirements;e) stability;f) impact resistance;g) penetration resistance;h) strength and durability;i) labels, tags, and markings; andj) instructions for use.1.4

44、This Standard covers the following face protectors as intended for use by players, goalkeepers, andcertain on-ice functionaries (e.g., referees, coaches):a) Type B1;b) Type B2;c) Type D1; andd) Type D2.1.5In this Standard,“shall” is used to express a requirement, i.e., a provision that the user is o
