19、ollowing information supplements the general information specified in DIN 18299, clause 0. Without this information, a specification of works as required in 7 ff., 7 EU ff. or 7 VS ff. of VOB/A (DIN 1960) cannot be properly drawn up. This information does not form part of the contract. The specifica
20、tion of works shall, in particular, include the following information as and when applicable. 0.1 Site information 0.1.1 Type and quality of subgrade. 0.1.2 Depth and types of foundation and constructional details of, and loads from, neighbouring structures. 0.1.3 Type and condition of existing marg
21、inal strips and elements or components (inserts) to be left in the pavement. 0.1.4 Track occupation and maximum travel speeds along neighbouring tracks. DIN 18315:2016-09 5 0.2 Details of execution of work 0.2.1 Pavement construction. 0.2.2 Purpose of road (including any special use), climatic facto
22、rs. 0.2.3 Exposure, traffic type and load, local factors. 0.2.4 Number, type, dimensions and design of connections to/junctions with existing structures, building elements and pavement layers. 0.2.5 Number, type, location and dimensions of openings to be made or closed. 0.2.6 Number, type, dimension

29、uction (i.e. using unsorted aggregates or soil): by area (m2), volume (m3) or mass (t), taking of samples for check testing: by number. 1 Scope 1.1 This standard covers the pavement of roads of any type, including paved open spaces, airfields, courtyards, railway platforms and track systems, with ro
30、adbases and wearing courses in road construction and frost protection and blankets for track systems. 1.2 This standard does not deal with soil strengthening or amelioration, nor with the placing of track ballast (see DIN 18325). 1.3 DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the spe
31、cifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18315 shall take precedence. 2 Materials and components The specifications of DIN 18299, clause 2 shall be supplemented as follows: The DIN Standards and technical delivery conditions below cover the most commonly used standardized materi
32、als as well as soil and rock. 2.1 Requirements 2.1.1 Aggregates DIN 4301 Technische Lieferbedingungen fr Gesteinskrnungen im Straenbau (TL Gestein-StB)1)Only aggregates with marking as set out in the TL Gestein-StB shall be used. This does not apply to unsorted aggregate mixes and soil (see subclaus
33、e 2.1.3). 2.1.2 Soil and aggregate mixes The composition of aggregate mixes and soil shall be at the contractors discretion. He shall give due consideration to the intended use of the road, the traffic type and load, the local climate, and the site conditions. The mixes shall be homogeneous, frost-p

DIN 18315:2016-09 7 Aggregate mixes for blankets shall be made up of g ravel/sand mixtures or sand/gravel mixtures, with crushed aggregates added where necessary, crushed rock/
36、grit/sand mixtures or grit/sand mixtures. The Technische Lieferbedingungen fr Baustoffgemische und Bden zur Herstellung von Schichten ohne Bindemittel (TL SoB-StB) shall be complied with1). 2.1.3 Unsorted aggregates Unsorted aggregates shall be adequately graded. 2.2 Testing 2.2.1 Suitability testin
37、g Before the start of work, the contractor shall ascertain that the materials, mixes, soil and rock used are suitable for the particular application and, on request, provide proof of this to the client. 2.2.2 Internal control During work, the contractor shall ascertain, by means of internal control,

DIN 18315:2016-09 8 3.1 General 3.1.1 Pavement layers without binder shall not be placed in inclement weather (e.g. under frost conditions) unless provisions are made to ensure
41、 that the prescribed quality of the work is not adversely affected. 3.1.2 Where the location of pipes, cables, drains and sewers, ducts, bench marks, obstructions and other structures is unknown before work starts, this shall be established. The work involved counts as special tasks (see subclause 4
42、.2.1). 3.2 Subgrade Reservations according to VOB/B (DIN 1961), 4, clause 3 could involve in particular the following: any weakness or unsuitable condition of the ground, any departure from the declared level, slope or flatness, any harmful soiling, lack of essential drainage facilities, inclement w
43、eather conditions (see subclause 3.1.1), any missing datums. It shall be the clients responsibility to provide the contractor with any available relevant documentation, analyses, etc. 3.3 Construction, requirements 3.3.1 Roadbase (including frost protection and blankets) 3.3.1.1 Laying The soil or a
44、ggregate mix shall be spread uniformly and so as to prevent segregation. 3.3.1.2 Compaction Each layer, with the aggregate having the appropriate water content, shall be uniformly compacted to suit the particular application. 3.3.1.3 Surface The surface of the individual layers shall be of uniform a
45、ppearance and have a crossfall adequate for drainage purposes. If a layer will be directly exposed to vehicular traffic or exposed to the weather during winter time, additional measures shall be taken where necessary. Unless the contractor is at fault, the work involved counts as special tasks (see
46、subclause 4.2.1). 3.3.1.4 Required profile The layers are to be placed to the design level and transverse and longitudinal profile. Any departures from the correct level shall not exceed 4 cm at any point. DIN 18315:2016-09 9 3.3.1.5 Flatness Any deviations from flatness of the roadbase surface shal
47、l not exceed 3 cm within a distance of 4 m. 3.3.1.6 Thickness The minimum thickness as a function of the maximum particle size of the soil or aggregate mix used shall for each layer, when compacted, be for a particle size 32 mm: 12 cm, for a particle size 45 mm: 15 cm, for a particle size 56 mm: 18
48、cm, for a particle size 63 mm: 20 cm. The maximum thickness of a layer shall be 30 cm. 3.3.2 Wearing courses 3.3.2.1 Laying The soil or aggregate mix shall be spread uniformly and so as to prevent segregation. 3.3.2.2 Compaction Wearing courses, with the aggregate having the appropriate water content, shall be uniformly compacted to suit the particular application. 3.3.2.3 Surface The surface of wearing courses shall be sealed and have a uniform appearance, and shall have a crossfall adequate for drainage purposes.
