23、s, a test piece shall also be supplied if the manufacturer so requests. Test pieces shall be of sufficient length. All tests shall be carried out on three samples, except for the resistance to separation test, which shall be carried out on two samples. The mean of the individual results shall be cal
24、culated. If an individual result differs from the mean value by more than 10 %, this result shall be rejected and three new samples taken from the area immediately adjacent. The final mean value is to be calculated from these three values and the two remaining values. Samples shall be taken from are
25、as distributed over the entire width of the conveyor belt but at least 50 mm from the belt edges. Testing shall be carried out no earlier than two days after the belt has been manufactured. 3.2 Width of conveyor belt The conveyor belt width, B, shall be determined to the nearest 1 mm. 3.3 Length of
26、conveyor belt The length of the conveyor belt shall be given to the nearest 10 mm for belts up to 20 m long, and to the nearest 100 mm for belts longer than 20 m. 3.3.1 Endless belts For endless belts, the inside length shall be measured in accordance with DIN EN ISO 16851. This is done by laying th
27、e belt out straight, measuring the bends and the flat parts, and adding the single lengths together to obtain the total inside length. 6 DIN 22102-2:2014-01 3.3.2 Open belts For open belts, the belt is to be laid out straight and measured in several lengths, if necessary. The belt length is then obt
28、ained by adding together the single lengths. 3.4 Thickness of conveyor belt Testing as in DIN EN ISO 583. 3.5 Cover thickness, interlayer thickness Testing as in DIN EN ISO 583. 3.6 Elongation with static loading under the reference load, breaking load Testing as in DIN EN ISO 283. 3.7 Resistance to
29、 separation Testing as in DIN EN ISO 252. 3.8 Covers 3.8.1 Tensile strength at break and elongation at break Testing as in DIN 53504. Test pieces (S 2 dumb-bell type) shall be taken in the longitudinal direction from covers which have been stripped or peeled off. Tensile strength at break values sha
30、ll be rounded to the nearest 0,1 N/mm . 2Elongation at break values shall be rounded to the nearest 10 %.Covers having a thickness 1,5 mm shall not be tested. 3.8.2 Abrasive wear Testing as in DIN ISO 4649:2006-11, Method A. Results shall be rounded to the nearest whole number. 3.8.3 Ageing Samples
31、for determining separation resistance and tensile strength at break shall be aged at (70 1) C for 168 h in a natural convection oven as in DIN 53508:2000-03, 6.3. The results obtained shall be given as a percentage (%) of the value in the unaged condition. 3.9 Electrical and flammability safety requirements Testing as in DIN EN ISO 284.
