、 from 2“ to 20. 2 Concepts For basic metrological concepts and for concepts used in dimensional metrology, please refer to DIN 1319 Part 1, DIN 1319 Part 2, DIN 1319 Part 3, and DIN 2257 Part 1. 2.1 Cylindrical spirit level vial Cylindrical spirit level vials are measuring devices that are partially
、 filled with liquid and utilize the force of gravity to indicate, via the movement of the enclosed air bubble, inclinations from the horizontal. They are mounted as the measuring component in, for example, inclination measuring instruments, balances, or processing equipment. 3 Dimensions, designatio

、l requirements 4.1 Scale The scale shall be marked symmetrically in relation to the zero position. Scales of type A and type B vials shall have uniform scale divisions, the distance between two consecutive scale marks being 2 mm. The two zero marks shall be separated by a distance at least equal to,
、 and not more than 2 mm greater than, the length of the bubble. All scale marks shall be at right angles to the longitudinal axis and of uniform length and thickness throughout. Their thickness shall not exceed 20% of the scale spacing. The zero marks shall be longer than the other marks, and all ma
、rks shall be permanent, opaque, and have sharply defined edges. 4.2 Limits of error A limit of error of 5 pm/m shall apply for cylindrical spirit level vials with scale intervals up to 25 pm/m or 5“. A limit of error of 20% of the scale interval concerned shall apply for cylindrical spirit level via
、ls with scale intervals greater than 25 pm/m or 5“. 4.3 Response time The response time shall not exceed the valueE, obtained from the following equation. 400 E, = +8 Scale interval E, is obtained in seconds of time; the scale interval is to be entered in the equation as pm/m. 4.4 Working temperatur
、e range The requirements specified in subclauses 4.1 to 4.3 shall be met at the working temperature of (20 2 5) “C. 4.5 Storage temperature range Cylindrical spirit level vials shall not be destroyed by the effects of temperature in the range from - 40 to +70C. 5 Material 5.1 Vial The vial shall be
、made of a transparent material that is free from stress and also free from striae, flaws, and any other impurities which might impair its function. The material shall not be reacted upon by the filling liquid. If glass is used, then this shall conform to a hydrolytic class not greater than 3 as spec
、ified in DIN 12 11 1. 5.2 Filling liquid The filling liquid shall not decompose when used within the given parameters. It shall contain no water and be free from significant impurities. 6 Marking The scale interval of a cylindrical spirit level vial shall be marked on it. Where the indication refers
