Previous editions DIN 28000-2: 2002-04 DIN 28000-2:2011-01 4 1 Scope This standard specifies the information required in documents of the individual phases (i.e. the life cycle) of a process plant as described in DIN 28000-1. In connection with
12、 DIN 28000-1, this standard can be used as a technical basis for agreements on services rendered (contracts) and for defining individual tasks during the life cycle of a process plant. The assignment of documents to individual phases of the life cycle of a process plant depends on the structure of t
13、he plant, how the work or transaction is to be executed, the trade(s) involved and other influencing factors. Therefore, the objective of the standard is not to define a strict classification, but to provide a practical list of all essential documents and their main contents. If standardized definit

19、IN 28000-2:2011-01 5 3 Document types and information in phases A to N of a process plant 3.1 Phase A Determination of design base 3.1.1 Cost estimate form Forms the basis for decisions on the further course of action in a project. The results of the planning completed so far, in particular planning
20、 documents and technical drawings, as well as explanatory information on relations between individual planning steps, processes and conditions are evaluated from a financial point of view. In the budget cost estimate, the total cost is determined for each cost type. The first level of cost classific
21、ation usually comprises: m achinery and apparatus, package units; b uilding site/buildings; pi ping (pipes, valves and fittings, gaskets etc.); p rocess measuring and control technology, electric power supply; p lanning and engineering services. 3.1.2 Project organization chart Diagram of organizati
22、onal relationships between specific trades and functions of a project (see DIN 69901-5). Information: o rganizational chart; designation of the organizational units and responsibilities or functions; n ame of the person in charge. 3.1.3 General time schedule Overview of time frames for the projects
23、essential phases and milestones. Activities can be illustrated in the form of elongated bars (time bar schedule). The length of a bar indicates the duration of the activity. Information: s ynchronization of activities; i dentifying description (e.g. designation of activities); b eginning and end of
24、the activities; d ivision and designation of units on the time scale, e.g. months, years; i dentification of project phases as defined in DIN 28000-1; p roject status; c rucial dates of project execution (milestones), such as investment decision (“capital expenditure”), mechanical completion, transf
25、er of risk. DIN 28000-2:2011-01 6 3.1.4 Process description Essential part of process plant construction planning. The process description should be written in a style that emphasizes essential features and thus simplifies the description of chemical, mechanical or biological processes which in most
26、 cases consist of several operations. It is advisable to describe the process in a block diagram as described in DIN 28000-3. 3.2 Phase B Preliminary planning 3.2.1 Site survey map Diagram of the location of plants or plant sections, buildings, essential free-standing process equipment and distincti
27、ve facilities in their surroundings. The diagram is generally drawn to scale on the ground plan of the site or building. Information: outline, location and main dimensions of buildings and essential free-standing equipment of process plants or plant sections and associated auxiliary facilities; outl
28、ine, location and main dimensions of open spaces for specific purposes, e.g. storage yards, parking areas, car parks; routes and dimensions of major traffic routes (e.g. roads, rail tracks), major pipe bridges, major canals etc.; altitude of the site; north direction; designation of plant fields, bu
29、ildings and equipment. 3.2.2 Process equipment list with basic information Table listing essential technical equipment of a plant (see DIN 28000-3), e.g. pumps, vessels, heat exchangers, filters etc. in order to provide a brief overview of technical and commercial data. Information: equipment identi
30、fication in the form of function designation (e.g. as described in DIN 28000-3:2009-12, Annex C; DIN EN 81346-1 and DIN EN 81346-2); number of pieces of equipment; designation: e.g. agitator vessel, product pump, chain conveyor; characteristics, e.g.: vessel with volume in m3; heat exchanger with su
31、rface area in m2; pumps with flow rate in m3/h; agitators with agitator power in kW; filters with filter surface area in m2; DIN 28000-2:2011-01 7 material; maximum allowable pressure (PS); maximum allowable temperature (TS); main dimensions; empty weight; commercial data (e.g. supplier, delivery pe
32、riod, prices). 3.2.3 General arrangement concept (installation concept) Depiction of the approximate location of essential equipment and buildings or supporting structures. These are generally drawn to scale stating main dimensions. Information: outlines and approximate location as well as designati
33、on of equipment; location and outlines of buildings or supporting structures and their essential parts, e.g. pillars, main platforms, main staircases, main construction beams, walls, roofs, above-ground parts of the process equipments foundation ; direction, distances between and designation of esse
34、ntial axes of the building; elevation level of platforms and foundations of essential items of equipment; location of planning limits and plant limits (battery limits); north arrow. 3.2.4 Basic data of location, infrastructure and logistics Short description of the geographic location, connection to
35、 the infrastructure (e.g. to transportation and supply infrastructures), special requirements concerning permissions by authorities etc., and which is designed to provide an overview of the site. 3.2.5 Energy supply concept (basic information) Conceptual design of the auxiliary facilities required f
36、or the generation, provision or distribution of energy, e.g. transformer substations, steam generators, cooling towers, air compressors and the energy load profile. Information: peak and average values; identification of major energy consumers; information on pressure, temperature, voltage, pressure
37、 loss etc.; resources (electricity, nitrogen, compressed air, water etc.). DIN 28000-2:2011-01 8 3.2.6 Waste disposal concept (basic information) Conceptual design of facilities for collecting, storing, checking, draining, treating and conveying flows of waste water, exhaust air and waste materials.
38、 Information: mass or volume flow; composition; condition (pressure, temperature, pH value etc.); frequency and duration; discharge conditions into existing systems; regulatory requirements; overview of disposal costs. 3.2.7 Building layout drawing Drawing of planned and/or existing buildings on the
39、 site, drawn to scale on the site plan and in representative section views. Basic information: outline of buildings and their essential parts; orientation, designation and distances between essential axes of the building; elevation of platforms, footbridges, landings; information on building materia
40、ls (e.g. steel construction, concrete); designations of buildings. Additional information: outlines, orientation of main axes and designation of items of equipment in or on buildings; location, designation, cross section, material and elevation level of supply pipes and cables as well as disposal pi
41、pes. 3.2.8 Rough cost estimate This is based on the cost estimate compiled when the design base was determined. The accuracy is usually 20 %. Uncertainties with regard to the scope of the project are listed in a separate item titled “Contingency”. Additional costs, e.g. additional planning costs, la
42、nd development costs and fees should already be included. 3.2.9 Infrastructure concept Conceptual design of an infrastructure plan. Information: works location map; infrastructure plans (traffic routes, canals, pipe bridges etc.). DIN 28000-2:2011-01 9 3.2.10 Logistics concept Conceptual design of f
43、acilities for handling raw materials, intermediate products, end products and by-products. Information: process concept (e.g. continuous-flow or batch processing); structural concept (e.g. PCS rooms); human resources concept; automation concept
45、; operation and monitoring concept; alarm and locking concept. 3.2.12 Qualification concept Especially in the pharmaceutical industry, qualification is subject to statutory requirements and legislation of the country in which the product is to be marketed.
