This standard has been prepared by Working Committee Bauteile und Hilfsstoffe Gas of the Normenausschuss Gastechn
9、ik (NAGas) (Gas Technology Standards Committee) of DIN, the German Institute for Standardization (DIN), in agreement with the Deutsche Vereinigung des Gas- und Wasserfaches e.V. (DVGW) (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water. The standard has been adopted as part of the DVGW T
10、echnical Rules Gas. This standard contains the provisions of DVGW-VP 613 “Solderless unthreaded pipe connections Separable unthreaded pipe connections for metal gas pipes”, which will be withdrawn following the publication of DIN 3387-1. DIN 3387, Separable unthreaded pipe connections for metal gas
11、pipes comprises: Part 1: Connections for pipes with smooth ends Part 2: Connections for pipes with flanged ends Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. DIN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such pate

Amendments The standard differs from DIN 3387-1:1991-01 as follows: a) the scope is new; b) terms and definitions have been added; c) specifications regarding requirements and testing have been amended; d) DVGW-VP 613 has been incorporated; e) the standard has been editorially revised. 13、evious editions DIN 3387: 1976-07 DIN 3387-1: 1991-01 DIN 3387-1:2008-11 4 Introduction Design types that due to technological development deviate from the provisions of this standard in some details can be recognized as being in compliance with this standard upon application to a special committee.
14、 Such applications are to be sent to DINs Normenausschuss Gastechnik (NAGas), Josef-Wirmer-Str. 13, 53123 Bonn. The application shall include a test report from a neutral test laboratory recognized by the DVGW. During the test, the test laboratory shall proceed along the lines of the specifications
15、of this standard. An application for recognition of compliance with this standard is decided after consultation by a special committee made up as follows: a) the Convenor of the Working Committee Bauteile und Hilfsstoffe Gas of DINs Normenausschuss Gastechnik (NAGas), b) the Head of the test laborat
16、ory in which the smooth-end connector was tested, c) a member of the DVGW Technical Committee Bauteile und Hilfsstoffe Gas, d) the Manager of NAGas. The decision to recognize compliance with the standard depends on whether or not the requirements for smooth-end connectors as in this standard in rela
17、tion to safety, functionality, etc. are met in a way other than that provided for by this standard. To be effective, recognition of compliance with this standard as declared by the special committee shall be confirmed by the working committee responsible for this standard. An application for recogni
18、tion of standard compliance is deemed a new work item proposal for standards work. Recognition of standard compliance by the working committee serves as acceptance of this new work item proposal for standards work. This acceptance shall be published in the DIN-Anzeiger fr Technische Regeln der DIN-M
19、itteilungen (DIN Gazette of Technical Rules) with a note confirming that a new edition of the standard will be published according to the manuscript procedure. If the four-week public enquiry period ends without any comments/objections being submitted, then the recognition of compliance with this st
20、andard has been confirmed by the working committee and the subsequent edition is adopted. DIN 3387-1:2008-11 5 1 Scope This standard specifies the requirements for and testing of connectors that can only be separated with tools and which form a metallic or non-metallic seal with smooth walls on meta
21、l pipes or other metal cylindrical components (referred to below as smooth-end connectors). The connector can also be of other connection types, such as thread, flange, etc., and can have other designs, e.g. straight, angle or T-piece connections. Different design types are covered by the same type
22、designation and the same DIN-DVGW test mark. The connectors are suitable for pipes that are operated with gases in accordance with DVGW G 260 within the operating pressures and for the nominal sizes (outside pipe diameters) defined in Table 1, and which are designed for operating temperatures betwee
23、n 20 C and +60 C.
