18、tion documents 3 Ordering information The material and its form for delivery shall be selected by the customer, while the manufacturer shall decide on the method of production. NOTE When ordering, it is recommended to state the intended use and type of further processing of the product, taking claus
19、es 6 to 9 into consideration. When referring to or ordering aluminium tubes, rods and profiles for electrotechnical use, the material grade names given in tables 1 to 3 shall be used. 4 Properties 4.1 Chemical composition The chemical composition of EN AW-1350A and EN AW-6101B shall be as specified

31、mensions and form Depending on the product in question, tolerances on dimensions shall conform to the following standards: for cold drawn tubes: DIN EN 754-7, DIN EN 754-8; for extruded tubes: DIN EN 755-7, DIN EN 755-8; for cold drawn rods: DIN EN 754-3, DIN EN 754-4, DIN EN 754-5, DIN EN 754-6; fo
32、r extruded rods: DIN EN 755-3, DIN EN 755-4, DIN EN 755-5, DIN EN 755-6; for extruded profiles: DIN EN 755-9. 6 Surface condition Extruded or extruded and cold drawn products shall be free from defects which could affect their performance under normal conditions. They shall have a smooth, clean surf
33、ace. Small, unavoidable, imperfections such as minor scratches, indentations, scaling, longtitudinal stripes, discoloration or a slightly uneven appearance resulting from heat treatment are permissible. Defects may not be concealed, but a surface imperfection may be removed provided that the dimensi
34、onal tolerances are maintained and the material specifications set out here are still met. 7 Other requirements Any other requirements are subject to agreement between the manufacturer and customer, and shall be stated when ordering. DIN 40501-2:2005-03 7 8 Testing 8.1 Chemical composition The metho
35、d of analysis to be used shall be decided by the manufacturer. In case of disagreement, the analysis shall be carried out again using a method agreed between the manufacturer and customer. The results of this procedure must be accepted by all parties. 8.2 Tensile testing Tensile testing shall be car
36、ried out as in DIN EN 10002-1. 8.3 Electrical conductivity Electrical conductivity shall be tested as in DIN EN 2004-1. 8.4 Tolerances on dimensions Measurements shall be taken using suitable equipment for the required accuracy. All dimensions shall be measured at ambient temperature at the place of
37、 production or in a laboratory. In cases of dispute, measurements shall be taken at a temperature of 15 C to 25 C. 8.5 Surface condition If no special arrangements have been made, surface inspection shall be carried out before delivery, using no magnification. 8.6 Other testing If any other mechanic
38、al or physical properties are to be tested, this shall be agreed between the manufacturer and customer. Testing shall be carried out as specified in the relevant standards or shall be agreed between manufacturer and customer. 8.7 Inspection documents Documentation of testing in accordance with DIN EN 10204 shall be agreed between manufacturer and customer.
