In this standard, % denotes percentage by mass whe
3、n contents are specified. 1 Field of application This standard specifies the method to be used for the digestion of dolomites containing not less than 95 % of calcium magnesium carbonate. 2 Principle A sample of dolomite obtained as described in DIN 52 241 Part 1 is boiled with hydrochloric acid, th
4、e residue is filtered off and the filtrate transferred to a volumetric flask. The residue is incinerated and ignited in a platinum crucible, and the silicon(1V)oxide evap- orated using a hydrofluoric acid/sulfuric acid mixture. The residue obtained is digested with a sodium carbonate/disodium tetrab
5、orate mixture, dissolved and combined with the filtrate obtained from the hydro- chloric acid digestion. 3 Apparatus See clause 3 of DIN 52 241 Part 1. In addition to the usual laboratory apparatus, the following shall be used: a) adjustable electric hot plate; b) electric oven capable of being adju

In addition, the following reagents shall be used: a) anhydrous sodium carbonate, Na2C03; b) anhydrous disodium tetraborate, Na2B407. 5 Sampling and samp

Place the filter paper and residue in the platinum cruci- ble, and after careful incineration, ignite for one hour in the oven at 1100C
9、. After cooling in a desiccator, weigh the platinum crucible (ml), mix the residue with a few drops of sulfuric acid (1 : 1) and about 20 ml of hydro- fluoric acid and carefully evaporate to dryness on the electric hot plate. To remove the fluorides completely, heat the platinum crucible to redness
10、(500 to 6OOOC) for a short time over a flame and then ignite for a further ten minutes at 1100C. Cool the platinum cru- cible and weigh it again (m2). The difference in mass, ml -m2, is equal to the mass of silicon(1V)oxide pre- cipitated. Digest the residue so obtained with 1 g of (7 : 1) sodium ca
